Last Dance in the Sunshine Cove Beach Club

Last Dance in the Sunshine Cove Beach Club

That day was a sad one. Only a few days before, Misty had decided to close this club after 9 months. We had experienced a lot together, had learned even more, and had grown together. We wanted to use the last evening before the rental contract for the sim ended and we had to clean up everything, for a last event. The Last Dance at the Sunshine Cove.

We were very sad, looking for a way out. Maybe we wanted to convince Misty to go on. We didn't even know if she would come that evening. All the more we tried to make this evening special. And at the end we would look back on a wonderful time together. And we were happy when Misty was in our midst and spent this "unplanned" evening with us.

We had some offers, and maybe we could have continued the club with them. But on the one hand it wasn't the evening for decisions, on the other hand it wouldn't have been the place anymore. So we said goodbye to the Sunshine Cove Beach Club this evening. Some of our friends came to us, even though we were more lost in our thoughts. Which unfortunately not everyone understood and neither understood the implications, nor accepted that we refused their help. At the end it was a thoughtful and sad farewell from this wonderful place. But we also understood that it was not the Sunshine Cove who made it special, it was the Sunshine Family. And in some of us ideas germinated.

Valantine had already rented land in the neighborhood. That's where she had moved the club room. She wanted to organize some events for the group. But unlike the Sunshine Cove, she wanted to put the music offers on before and do without the contests. So the group would at least have a meeting place. But would that be enough?

Misty had always tried to persuade me to open a club. I had the underground garage in my own sim and the necessary equipment. And other than Valantine I didn't want to lose the Sunshine Rocker Group where a lot joined us only for the contests. I had seen how we had lost many good guests after the Cream Dance Club and had started the Trails End Music Hall Club from scratch again. And the same when it closed and we rebuilt the Sunshine Cove. It was also difficult for the staff every time, some were looking for other places, others came back later.

So I decided to try it for three months. I had saved enough to survive this time. I didn't want to earn anything, but it was to be a home for the Sunshine Family next to Valantine's Club Room. And from the beginning, we wanted to do it together, not each of us separately. That was the special thing about the Sunshine Family, and that name was to become more and more of a program later on.

What followed were exciting days for us. Valantine would be a DJ in both places. We also talked to the other DJs. Rosie wasn't really enthusiastic, she didn't want to take responsibility or give up L$. Candy also didn't want to play at the new places without the previous tips. Elsa wasn't reachable, sh was caught in RL. But Yezika was amazing, she promised us her help and was DJ for the clubs of the Sunshine Family from the beginning. And Vanny helped out, she was also a DJ and took over shifts in both clubs.

Looking back, this evening is sad. We all miss the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. But it is also the birth of today's Sunshine Family with the Club Room of Valantine, and the Sunshine Realm of Misty and me.
