First we wanted make a Beach event, Jamaica Beach and Reggae. But we decided to run a special event. Share the Mate. Mate is a traditional South American caffeine-rich infused drink. It is made by soaking dried leaves of the holly species Ilex paraguariensis in hot water and is served with a metal straw in a container typically made from a calabash gourd.

Mate has a strong cultural significance both in terms of national identity as well as in social terms. Drinking mate is a common social practice in all of the territory of Paraguay and parts of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, southern Chile, and eastern Bolivia. Argentina has celebrated National Mate Day every 30 November since 2015.

We celebrated a colored "Samba Party" last year. And we will celebrate a brazilian carnaval  Party this year too. We will dance together on the Street. 

And we have a special guest for this. Our friend and singer Joaquin Gustav will perform at 5pm for a hour. He is very excited and prepared some songs special for this event.

The highlight of this month. We went back to the Sunshine Temple to celebrate with this event our great Christmas Gala Night. And it was the last official public event in 2019 too. Our end-of-year celebration. And its formal again and was a dream in gold or silver. It was  a strict formal event, we expected evening attire. And it should be gold & silver.

We've thought of something special. We wanted to organize a surprise party for Odette, but knew she wouldn't log in on July 24th. What could we do? So we used the time difference between SecondLife and Buenos Aires.  Here the 24th of July starts at 8pm. So we turned our After-Party into a surprise party.

But how could we prepare everything unnoticed? It should be a private party with friends. We prepared something special for the after-party and prepared a beach landscape with walkways in our private sim. In addition we added the sound of waves and seagulls and we could decorate it. Finally we prepared the fireworks and the party could begin. We hired Joaquin Gustav for a special set only for Odette.

Monday 5/27 is Memorial Day in the USA this year. This is an important holiday and will celebrate every year on the last Monday in May in honor of those killed in war for their country. Memorial Day dates back to the American Civil War. Originally on this day the dead soldiers in this war were commemorated, after the First World War this was extended to all American soldiers killed in war.

And because this also refers to the Second World War, and especially the American armed forces guaranteed the security of all free and democratic states during the Cold War, it should be reason enough to celebrate this weekend with our friends from America. And to make this party for them. And SecondLife should be a world without borders, and without walls.

Today is the day. After 2 days preheating it is finally Saint Patrick's Day, the Irish national holiday which is all about green colors and shamrocks. As usual we were together in Valantine's Club Room to celebrate this special day together. And do finish the weekend.

And now our event on Saturday is finished. After the preheading event yesterday, expectations were high. We were really looking forward to the evening. It was a wonderful evening, with a lot of good music, many friends of the Sunshine Family were together and we also had many guests. It was a successful evening, even if it looked like it was going to be a more difficult one at the beginning. Already the general conditions seemed bad, the SL servers were unusually slow, so there were not only problems when logging in, it was also everywhere very laggy. Fortunately our Sim had been restarted in the morning.

After we went yesterday after the party on the 2nd floor to celebrate his 1st RezDay with Phil, we had prepared a surprise for today. What does Phil like? Ok, his favorite color is blue, but was that enough for a party? But he also likes jazz music, and you don't find that so often in SecondLife. Yes, before some protest now, in SecondLife there is actually almost everything you can imagine, or sometimes even can't imagine.

But would that be enough as a theme for a party? The roots of jazz go back far into the previous century, beginning 1910 it reached a zenith in the golden age of the 1920s. And that was the time of beautiful dresses, eye-catching jewelry, pompous hotels, and it was the time of Al Capone and the Chicago Mafia. And that was exactly the inspiration for today's event: "Mobsters & Molls". We wanted to go back to the roaring time with Flappers Dresses and Gatsby gowns.

We celebrated our Christmas Party for the Sunshine Realm together with The ROOM Club at 23th of December. We started with a very colorful program at 1pm slt. Some of our friends and guests joined us for a very special event "Champagne & Mistletoe" in formal attire at the Christmas Market.

We were curious because we made this event at a Sunday and this isn't a regular time for the Sunshine Realm. But the worries before were unnecessary then the first guests came and it was a successful evening.
