Unfortunately we have very sad news today. Valantine hasn't login in SL for more than a month and none of us know what happened. We are sad and helpless. We continued to organize the events on Sundays for more as a month and Misty had paid the rent for this time.

Belated Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a beautiful tradition in our clubs. In 2016 we celebrated it in the old Trails End Music Hall Club (Google Images Album) and we celebrated Thanksgiving 2017 again in a specially decorated skybox with an autumn landscape over the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. We made a second event 2017 too, but with Harvest Celebration more common. And last year we had 2 wonderful days too where we celebrated here at Sunshine Realm in the newly opened Trails End Music Club. There was the event "Let's give Thanks together" (Google Images) and one day later our Naughty Thanksgiving (Google Images). 

Thanksgiving is always a special event. And even if we in Europe don't know this holiday at all. But I think we've all heard that even distant family members come home and it's a wonderful celebration in the family. And then it's also a chance to thank our American friends and to organize this day with them. And it is very important to cultivate and share such traditions here in SecondLife, and also to gather the family here. And that we all have a great day together. And that's exactly what we wanted this year and we invite not only our friends, but all members of the Sunshine Rocker Group, and anyone who wants to come by. Everyone is welcome when we "Give Thanks together" again in our Trails End Music Hall Club.

After the success of our Casino Royal Event we tried it again. This event brought back us to the Casinos of Las Vegas and we wanted have fun with the colored set of Jazz and Blues with some romantic tunes. We chose again our Burlesque Palace for this. The place was prepared and DJ Valantine had prepared her special set for this night. We were ready to start.

Once again it wass time for a class reunion. You don't know what we meant with that? The superheroes and other comic characters meet regularly and this time they came to us to the Sunshine Realm. We prepared the Trails End Music Hall Club and invited our friends and guests to a Comic Night. We asked our guests which one is them superhero or your comic hero.

Also Comic Nights are nothing new at the Sunshine Realm, so we looked forward to a new edition. DJ Valantine entertained us this night. And we were happy to come to the Trails End Music Hall Club again with an event.

The Day After

We celebrate the Berlin Wall Fall this week. The 8th of October 1989 was the day before the Wall fell. There were many demonstrations and vigils in churches 30 years ago. So we thought about an event with candles. But how can you turn vigils into an event idea? And at the end are our events parties and not vigils. Our event should be called "The Day before" first. 

But, than we had another idea for the event. Mikhail Gorbachev was in Berlin and his positive stance about the world was for many people visible. Even though the Soviet Union was responsible for the Wall. Now stood the government of the former GDR alone, the east part of Germany. How lucky we actually were. Than, who thinks about what could happened if everything else had happened that day? That the regimes weren't so weakened that it wasn't Putin but Gorbachev, and that Germany could be reunited peacefully.

That's why we shot the planned theme completely, and today it's "The Day after". What could have happened? We therefore invite you to an Apocalypse event in which civilization has perished and struggles to survive, as in the Mad Max Movies. We built the Wall and decorated the Street in front of the Sunshiner's Pub with burning cars and tires, and tank traps. DJ Valantine prepared a rocking set and all we needed were guests and friends which would vising us.

Its should be an easy event today. It's not Thanksgiving yet, but we wanted to welcome the fall time and say "thank you" as in many places of the world for last summer and hopefully a rich harvest. Therefore we celebrated today our "Harvest Festival". We prepared the meadow in front of Trails End Music Hall for this, our Camp Sunshine.

Today we celebrated our Horror Movie Festival in Sunshine Realm. Maybe it's the scariest and bloodiest event of the year. Maybe a bad omen? Scared? Well, than were our friends and guests in the right mood for this event. Because we tried it again today with our "Festival of Fright". The scary fun begans, and we hoped that many people would join us?

The month of October is special in Secondlife due to the Halloween season. Secondlife is a fantasy world and dressing up your avatar doll is only limited to your imagination. There are so many possible characters and costumes. During the month of October Sunshine Realm is holding 10 Halloween themed events to stretch our friends and guests imagination and creativity. In order to keep each event fresh and exciting; each event has a twist. This Friday, October 18th the twist was that the Halloween party is at the beach. "Ghouls Night at the Beach". Halloween and beach, which direction it should went?  Hmmmmmmmm, let thiink about this:  Sexy witches in Bikinis, Zombie Pirates, Creatures from the Sea, Ghostly lifeguards? This was the challenge for our friends and guests tonight. they had to decide and show us again them Halloween creativity to join us at our Caribbean Beach themed Halloween event "Ghouls Night At the Beach!" 

My absolute favorite was really the Zombie Pirates and in my Imagination appears the haunted Pirates of Caribbean. Maybe some make it. I prepared a pirates costume at first too but decided short before the event to go as sexy witch in a wicca bikini. It wasn't easy to find a matching pair of bra and panties, only the bloody body was easy to make.

The first beings from the beyond have awakened, and the rift that connects the shadow world with our world begins to open slowly. Since there is a portal to the afterlife at the cemetery opposite the church ruin in the Realm of Shades, the witches and warlocks gather in the church ruin and organize a witch meeting and prepare the arrival with a witch dance. Their goal is to have the portal and cemetery appear on the surface of the Sunshine Realm for Halloween, so the undead can enter the street in front of and into the Sunshiner's Pub to take control of the whole Sunshine Realm.

1st Octoberfest Event 2019 @ Sunshine Realm

The event today really shouldn't be anything special, but most people won't forget it. It all started when I wanted to change my clothes 70 minutes before the event. When it didn't work, my body disappeared, I wanted to save myself with a Relog. There were still no warnings worth mentioning, so it shouldn't be a problem. Then it took 3 minutes until I was logged out. And the registration didn't work anymore. Even with a second notebook with the previous version of Firestorm the login didn't work. A few minutes later I got the status message that some Secondlife services were no longer available.

GoT - Special @ Sunshine Realm

Winter is Coming

We had our last GoT event in the spring time. We were then the place where we had previously celebrated our event "The strong Girls of Hedeby", and had rebuilt the Viking village to our own Winterfall and even the dragons did not miss. We celebrated our GoT special there with a lot guests and an amazing vibe. Now the summer is over again and the winter is slowly approaching. Time to took up this topic again and celebrated our next GoT special with "Winter is coming". We went to the Realm of Shades, the old gothic church ruin and the castle yard with the cemetery in front of it.

Hurricane Dorian has shaken us all in the last few days. And even though it did not hit the USA coast as expected, it left a trail of devastation in the Caribbean. And special the north-west of Bahamas was destroyed by the strongest hurricane of the modern time.

We had some events on our Caribbean beach this year, and that was certainly no coincidence. This is a beautiful corner of the world. That's why we want to take up this topic again. The Bahamas were particularly hard hit this time. It was a difficult step from such a catastrophe to an event at the Sunshine Realm. And we wanted any advantage from this topic. And even if we didn't collect any donations in SecondLife, this is unfortunately more difficult than you think, and you get very quickly into the suspicion of taking advantage of the needy and even cheating. But we would like to sensitize everyone to donate or to pay attention to what is happening in their own countries. These people need our help. So we met us at our Caribbean beach, and perhaps we could persuade some to do something in real life for the victims of this terrible disaster.

English Tea Time Party in the Garden

Tonight we wanted to be very British. We invited our friends and guests to an English tea time party in the Sunshine Garden and looked forward to 2 relaxing hours with DJ Valantine. We wanted deance and relax together. And because it wasn't just a BBQ with friends, we expected semi formal and formal clothes from our guest. With this we started a challenge, most of us had difficulties to find a good outfit and the imaginations were very different. I used Google like usual if i haven't a direct connection to a theme, and decided: "I need a hat".

Actually we wanted to do another literature event. Because it is the National "Read A Book Day" at the 6th of September. Misty and me share the love to read good books and we talk about this. Good books take us inside and let our imagination grow. You should try it again.

But Odette told us about Phils idea of a Hollywood Night. So both inspired us for changing the literature night to a movie night, or more exactly to a Hollywood Night. We are happy about inspirations of our friends, thank you Phil. And even a Hollywood blockbuster usually starts with a good book. So we are not far from the topic. It's not your imagination that makes the book work, the actors and the director take it away from you. Well, we wanted to turn it around so that our guests got creative. They were called to try to reenact them favorite actors and their roles. Its not the Oscar Night, but we made it festive and went with our guests and friends into the Burlesque Palace with this special event.

The summer is slowly coming to an end, but we wanted to go to the beach once time again. When could we do this better than as on the "National Beach Day"? Now we were often in the Caribbean this summer, be it to learn to swim or sunbathe. And we were there twice for surfing, one with surf's up! and then with the surfing lessons. But also the pirates were there and searched for their lost treasure before they came back and return to got the hidden rum barrels.

So today we wanted to go to another part of our beach. The Sunshine Realm have some hidden or unnoticed parts. And not only this, we wanted to go with the theme to Europe. "A Day in Ibiza" was our event for the 30th of August. Our frieds and guests came with hot and sexy bikinis and swimsuits with us to the island of the rich in the Balearic Sea.

It's been a while since we had our last biker event. Today we symbolically open the "Sunshine Biker Club" with our motorcycle Mania Event. Ok, we are no MC, but somehow the Sunshine Family is also a club. We are looking forward to an event with bikers in leather and boots. We invited everyone to put on a vest and boots and to come out on the street in front of Sunshiner's Pub. We wanted to rock the niche with the big stage together.

We prepared everything, decorated and set up some motorcycles. And of course we were curious what our friends and guests would do with this theme. And of course, if the bad series of the last weekend and especially of Tuesday would continue and if the summer slump would catch us. We had a lot of visitors but also a high fluctuation, so that we had on average only 37 visitors at the end at the same time in the Sim.

The legendary Woodstock Festival took place in the summer of 1969. So we celebrate the 50th anniversary. Already last year we built up a big festival place next to a farm and celebrated the 49th anniversary with 2 wonderful events. The music of this time, the lifestyle of the time of the Hippies and Flower Childs and the free love work up to our time. Hippies created their own communities, listened to psychedelic music, embraced the sexual revolution, and many used drugs such as marijuana, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms to explore altered states of consciousness. Even though the song "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll" was written years later, it describes the attitude to life of this unique time. Woodstock is one of the events that changed the world.

Last weekend started the Football Pre-Season and today was our start in the Pre-Season with a party. It's not our first football event and some of us are fan of this sport. Now it's a new season and that was reason enough for us to built a new stadium and invited our guests and friends to our first football event of the 2019/2020 season. Ok, Pre-Season. We asked all which team thems favorite und asked to come with football clothes. Whether as a player or cheerleader. Our new "Sunshine Field" waited for the guests.

Tonight was a special night at the Sunshine Realm. We built for Odette's Birthday Party last week a Amsterdam style Red-Light District around the Burlesque Palace. There we had an amazing private party with the Burlesque Theme and the amazing singer Sultry Sonata Masterson. And anyone who knows Odette knows how much she loves these two themes. Now we wanted to go with all our guests back to this red-light district to spend a particularly erotic evening.

When we plan events it is often a mixture of new and proven formats. It would be almost impossible to prepare three completely new events every week. We also have to choose an outfit, and then there's the cost of a new location. That's why we're looking for new events that we can hold at existing venues and mix existing ones. Also at this event we went back to the past and fallen back on proven methods. Actually we wanted to build a Japanese garden after the winter, but then we decided to make a Hawaiian Luau and built a beach club just for this one event. A short time later we extended the area around the beach club with a Caribbean beach for our first Surf's up! Event to make. Well, today this is an area where we did a lot of events. It's the time travel to the pirates, the swimming lessons or the sun tanning. And we welcomed the summer here too.

For this event we wanted mix two of this theme, and we met us with our friends and guests for surf lessons on the beach.
