Upcoming Events

I have added this page to my blog to inform about the upcoming events at the Sunshine Realm. So all visitors, friends and Sunshine Girls have the possibility to prepare themselves. At the bottom of this page you'll find the list of events in 2019.

The regular dates for our events with various themes are 
  • Tuesday between 5pm - 7:30 pm
  • Friday between 4pm - 6pm
  • Saturday between 4pm - 6pm
For each of the events we will have a contest with 1,000 L$ in splitmode. After the events there will be after-parties. the following list contains the next themes for the events.

Heads up! We will do additional events on Sunday at 3pm. Here comes Joaquin Gustav from Argentina and will perform live for one hour. This event will take place without contest.
 You will find our place at this landmark in the Grid of SecondLife.

Please read and respect our rules if you join our events. 

Please note. This schedule is still provisional and can be changed by us. We work still at the correct Schedule, but want share it early to give you all the chance to plan the own activities about the holiday time. We will also publish new information on a regular basis. Please save this page as a bookmark and come back.

Here we go again – diving into the dreamy depths of the Sunshine Realm, where every event is a ticket to a world without limits, where borders dissolve and only imagination sets the rules.
Attention: Please read the Rules for events in our Sim.

We don’t send group notices anymore -  because honestly, nobody likes spam. Instead, we usually announce the next event right at the end of the current one. So... stick around if you don’t wanna miss out!

This blog page is the go-to place for all the juicy details, dates, and dress codes. We try to keep it updated in time - but hey, real life always comes first (you know... the number one rule of SecondLife). So sometimes, stuff happens. Deadlines crash, the blog throws a tantrum, or life throws us a curveball.

If that ever happens, don’t panic - just poke one of us. We don’t bite... unless it’s on the After Party. 😏

When Summer Lets Go: An Autumn Evening at the Lagoon

Leaves Fall, Temperatures Drop, Standards Remain Questionable
Peep: the lagoon is changing colors, the evenings are getting cooler, and autumn has arrived with excellent timing for a little trouble.

Summer is stepping aside and autumn is moving into Sunshine Lagoon with golden light, cooler evenings, warm colors, and that unmistakable feeling that something new is beginning.

Come dressed for the season and make the lagoon your autumn playground. Think cozy sweaters, boots, scarves, flowing dresses, denim, leather jackets, earthy colors, or a glamorous fall look that says you absolutely refuse to let the weather ruin your fashion game.

Bring your friends, your camera, and your best autumn mood. The lagoon is ready for falling leaves, warm conversations, dancing, flirting, and a few questionable decisions after sunset.

There is a particular moment in autumn when summer finally admits defeat. The days become shorter, the air feels different, and suddenly everyone discovers that jackets are not just something you leave hanging in the closet for eight months.

Tonight, Sunshine Lagoon gets its autumn makeover. The familiar water remains, but the mood changes. Golden foliage surrounds the shoreline, warm lights reflect across the water, and the whole place feels a little more intimate. It is the kind of evening where you arrive for the music and stay because the scenery has convinced you that you belong there.

Autumn fashion gives you plenty of room to play. Cozy oversized sweaters with boots, jeans with a leather jacket, plaid skirts, scarves, ankle boots, long coats, knit dresses, or elegant fall gowns all work beautifully. Earth tones, burgundy, copper, forest green, cream, chocolate, and golden shades can turn the lagoon into one giant autumn photograph.

And if cozy is not your thing, go completely the other way. A sleek autumn fashionista, a mysterious traveler, a glamorous witch, a country girl, a rebellious biker, or the person who somehow manages to wear a summer dress in October without shivering dramatically every five minutes. Second Life has no weather forecast strong enough to stop you.

For roleplay, imagine that the lagoon has become the meeting place for a little autumn gathering. Old friends return after the summer, strangers arrive looking for the perfect evening, photographers hunt for that magical sunset shot, and someone inevitably claims that the best seat belongs to them.

Take pictures by the water, walk beneath the falling leaves, gather around friends, dance in the evening glow, and let your avatar tell a little autumn story of its own. You can be romantic, mysterious, elegant, funny, rustic, glamorous, or gloriously overdressed.

And when the official evening begins to wind down, remember that Sunshine Lagoon has always had a second personality after dark. The After-Party may be warmer, freer, and considerably less concerned with seasonal fashion rules.

So bring the boots, bring the attitude, and bring something warm. Autumn has arrived, and it clearly intends to stay awhile.

Moonlight, Ruins & Wicked Whispers: The Autumn Full Moon

The Church Has No Priest Tonight, Only Shadows
Peep: the moon is full, the old church is waiting, and somebody definitely heard something moving behind the ruins.

Under the autumn full moon, Realm of Shades becomes a place where Gothic fantasy meets forgotten history.

The ruined church stands beneath the moonlight, surrounded by mist, bare branches, old stone, candles, and shadows. Dress for the darkness: Gothic, Victorian, dark romantic, vampire, witch, mourning attire, elegant black, lace, leather, velvet, or anything that looks like it belongs in a beautiful old ghost story.

Come prepared for atmosphere, photography, roleplay, whispers, strange encounters, and a night where the shadows may have more personality than some of the guests.

The full moon rises over Realm of Shades, and the ruins of the old church suddenly seem less abandoned than they did during daylight.

Broken stone walls catch the silver light. Old windows frame the moon. Mist gathers around the ground, candles flicker where candles probably should not be burning, and the autumn wind moves through the empty spaces of the building like somebody whispering just beyond earshot.

Tonight is made for Gothic fashion. Black lace, velvet gowns, corsets, long coats, Victorian dresses, dramatic hats, gloves, boots, dark suits, mourning attire, vampire elegance, witchy layers, romantic Gothic looks, and mysterious characters all belong here.

You can keep it classic or turn the dial toward fantasy. Become an ancient vampire, a wandering ghost, a moonlit witch, a mysterious noble, a Victorian mourner, a cursed aristocrat, a creature from an old legend, or simply the person who looks suspiciously comfortable standing alone in a ruined church at midnight.

The setting practically writes its own roleplay. Perhaps the church was abandoned after a strange event. Perhaps the bell still rings on certain nights. Perhaps the ruins are haunted. Perhaps someone in the group knows why. And perhaps they are not particularly interested in telling everyone else.

For photographers, this location is a gift. Use the broken arches, stone walls, moonlight, candles, fog, shadows, and narrow pathways. Try dramatic portraits with strong silhouettes, group scenes beneath the moon, or a story told through several photographs.

And remember that Gothic does not have to mean permanently serious. A perfectly elegant vampire can still spill their drink. A dramatic witch can forget where they parked their broom. A mysterious stranger can walk into the wrong crypt. Darkness has room for humor too.

As the evening grows deeper, the official event may give way to the more daring After-Party. The candles burn lower, the music becomes darker, and whatever happens beyond the ruins can remain suitably mysterious.

Just one piece of advice: if you hear footsteps behind you, do not automatically assume it is another guest.

Paws, Hooves & Happy Chaos: Pet Day at Sunshine Meadow

Who Let the Animals Into the Party? Nobody, Apparently.
Peep: bring your favorite four-legged, winged, magical, tiny, enormous, fluffy, feisty, or completely unexpected companion.

Sunshine Meadow is opening its gates for a very special gathering: Bring Your Own Pet!

Bring your favorite Second Life animal companion and let them become part of the event. Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, fantasy creatures, farm animals, magical companions, tiny pets, giant pets, and anything else your imagination can put on four legs are welcome.

Dress for a relaxed meadow day. Country casual, jeans, boots, overalls, sundresses, flannel, riding clothes, outdoor wear, farm looks, cute matching outfits, or full-on fantasy caretaker styles are all fair game.

Come for the pets, stay for the chaos. There will probably be barking, posing, chasing, cuddling, showing off, and at least one animal behaving better than its owner.

Sunshine Meadow was designed for peaceful afternoons, open skies, fresh air, and relaxing walks.

Then someone decided to invite the pets.

Now the meadow has become a four-legged social event with paws in every direction, tails wagging, hooves stamping, wings flapping, and at least one creature wondering why everybody keeps trying to take its picture.

Bring your favorite pet from your Second Life collection. A loyal dog, spoiled cat, elegant horse, mischievous bunny, colorful bird, tiny companion, farm animal, fantasy beast, dragon, unicorn, or something that absolutely nobody can identify is welcome.

Your outfit can match the mood. Jeans and boots, denim jackets, flannel shirts, overalls, casual dresses, riding gear, country looks, cute pet-parent outfits, or coordinated colors with your companion can all work. Want to go completely ridiculous? Dress like a glamorous animal trainer with a pet that looks like it escaped from a fantasy movie.

You can also make this a character event. Maybe you are a country girl with her old farm dog. Maybe you are an equestrian with a favorite horse. Maybe you run a tiny animal rescue. Perhaps you are a wealthy socialite whose handbag-sized pet has a bigger wardrobe than everyone else combined.

And then there is the photography.

Get down on the grass with your companion. Take portraits together. Let your horse stand beside you during sunset. Put your dog next to a picnic blanket. Capture a cat looking dramatically unimpressed. Photograph the entire group and see how long it takes before somebody's pet wanders directly through the shot.

The best part is that pets create instant conversation. You do not even need an elaborate RP story. Walk up to someone and ask what their companion's name is. Ask how they met. Ask whether the animal is friendly. Ask the much more dangerous question: Can I pet them?

And yes, matching pet animations can make the whole thing even better. Sitting together, walking together, playing fetch, grooming, feeding, riding, cuddling, or simply standing proudly beside your companion can turn a casual gathering into a proper little story.

Later, when the sun goes down, the meadow can take on a different mood. The official event may be wholesome, but Sunshine Realm has never promised that every evening remains innocent after dark. The After-Party is where the humans may finally get some attention too.

So bring your best friend, your strangest creature, or the pet you absolutely cannot trust near an unattended picnic basket.

And remember the golden rule of Pet Day: if your avatar is behaving perfectly but your pet is causing chaos, congratulations. You are doing it right.
