Whether you’re a fearsome captain, a charming rogue, or a siren luring sailors to their doom, this is your night to live the pirate fantasy in Second Life.

The smell of salt air, the creak of phantom rigging, and the glint of sunset on imaginary gold - that’s the vibe for Talk Like a Pirate Day at the Sunshine Lagoon. This isn’t just about putting on a pirate hat; this is your chance to craft a full persona. Do you swagger like a captain with a hidden treasure map? Are you a powder monkey fresh from the cannons, or a sultry tavern wench daring sailors to a round of rum?

Outfits are key here: tricorns, eye patches, striped pants, open shirts, corsets, high boots, or even sea-worn mermaid scales and barnacle jewelry. Tattoos and scars tell your story, and accessories like cutlasses, pistols, or spyglasses complete the fantasy.

DJ Polpeta will spin sea shanty remixes and piratey beats to keep the dancefloor lively while we RP our way across the beach. Pose on barrels, climb the shipwreck props, or duel another guest with swords drawn.

And when the main event fades with the sun, the After-Party promises a more playful tone - think secret deals behind the tavern, whispered alliances, and stolen kisses by the waterline. The perfect way to end a pirate raid.
