Peep the barn... the hay is stacked, the music is loud, and somebody’s already looking for a dance partner.

Grab your boots and leave your city attitude at the door. Tonight, Sunshine Dome turns into a good old-fashioned barn dance for Farm Aid, with country spirit, dusty boots, big smiles and plenty of room to kick up your heels.

Picture a warm summer evening out in the country, wooden beams glowing under strings of lights, hay bales stacked around the dance floor and the sound of country music rolling through the barn. Come dressed for the occasion, find yourself a partner and get ready for a night where even the shyest cowpoke might suddenly discover a serious talent for dancing.

And remember, sweetheart... country nights have a habit of getting a little less innocent after dark. 🤠🌾🎶

There is something about a barn dance that makes ordinary rules feel just a little less important.

The sun is going down over the fields. The last golden light catches the wooden fence posts, crickets are starting their evening concert, and somewhere across the property you can hear music coming from the barn.

Inside, the lights are warm.

The floor is ready.

The hay bales are stacked.

And somebody has already decided that standing around looking innocent is probably overrated.

Tonight, Sunshine Dome becomes our little slice of country life for Farm Aid, and we're inviting you to come dressed for a proper barn dance.

Forget polished ballroom elegance. This is boots, denim, plaid, worn leather, country dresses, jeans, suspenders, cowboy hats and anything else that says you know your way around a dusty backroad. A little dirt on the boots is practically part of the dress code.

For the cowgirls, think denim shorts or jeans, checked shirts, tied tops, flowing country dresses, boots, hats and plenty of attitude. Add a bandana, some turquoise jewelry or a little fringe if you want to push the look further.

Cowboys have plenty of room to play too. Jeans, boots, flannel, western shirts, leather vests, belts, hats and that wonderfully questionable confidence of someone who believes they can ride a horse purely because they watched a western once.

Of course, Second Life gives us a few more options than an actual barn dance.

Your cowgirl might have a little supernatural sparkle.

Your cowboy might be something considerably less human.

You might arrive looking like you stepped straight out of a classic country music video, or you might create an entirely fictional character who owns half the ranch and refuses to discuss the mysterious incident involving the barn last summer.

We won't ask.

The Sunshine Dome is the perfect setting for the fantasy. Imagine wooden structures, warm lights, hay, open space and the feeling of being miles away from the nearest city. Let the surroundings do some of the storytelling for you.

Maybe you arrived after a long ride.

Maybe you're a local ranch hand.

Maybe you're passing through town.

Maybe you're the stranger nobody has seen before.

And maybe that person across the dance floor keeps looking your way.

That's where the fun begins.

Because a barn dance needs dancing, and dancing needs partners. Grab someone by the hand, pull them onto the floor and see whether they actually know what they're doing. If they don't, improvise. If they do, try to keep up.

DJ Yui will be providing the soundtrack, so let the country mood take over. Whether the music makes you want to line dance, slow dance or simply stomp your boots in time with the beat, there's no need to stand politely against the wall all night.

And after the official event?

Well, the barn doors don't necessarily have to close just because the schedule says the party is over.

The lights can get a little lower.

The conversations can get a little closer.

The cowboys can lose the hats.

The cowgirls can decide that boots are terribly overrated.

And suddenly that innocent little barn dance starts looking like it may have developed a second chapter.

So saddle up, partner.

Bring your best country attitude, your favorite boots and an outfit that makes you look like trouble on four legs.

The horses may be imaginary.

The hay may be virtual.

But the memories can still be very real.
