Poetry

Ink, Velvet & Dangerous Verses

Dress Sharp, Speak Soft
Let the words undress the rest

Sunshine Library transforms into a semi-formal sanctuary of language and longing. Candlelight flickers across towering bookshelves while classical melodies drift through the room. Dress in refined elegance, suits and gowns with subtle flair. Bring a favorite poem, a line you love, or simply your listening ears. Tonight we celebrate literature, wit, and the power of a well-placed pause.

The Sunshine Library stands dignified against the fading winter light, its tall windows glowing from within. Inside, polished wood shelves rise like cathedral walls, heavy with stories. A grand piano hums softly in the corner, notes of classical music weaving through the air.

Poetry Night is not loud. It is intimate. Semi-formal attire sets the tone. Tailored suits with crisp lines. Silk blouses tucked into high-waisted trousers. Evening gowns that glide across the parquet floor. A hint of perfume. A cufflink that catches the candlelight.

This is a space for words to linger. You might channel the romantic intensity of Edgar Allan Poe or the sharp wit of Dorothy Parker. Perhaps you whisper a sonnet worthy of William Shakespeare, but with your own modern twist. Literature has always flirted with desire. Tonight, it does so in a velvet jacket.

DJ Yui’s classical selection wraps the evening in elegance. Between readings, guests mingle near the fireplace, discussing metaphors with suspiciously heated enthusiasm. Someone leans a little closer to hear a stanza. Someone else applauds a bit too long.

Later, when the official program concludes, smaller circles form in shadowed corners. A poem becomes a conversation. A conversation becomes a shared secret. Books may remain on the shelves, but inspiration wanders freely.
