Ghoul's Night at Beach

The month of October is special in Secondlife due to the Halloween season. Secondlife is a fantasy world and dressing up your avatar doll is only limited to your imagination. There are so many possible characters and costumes. During the month of October Sunshine Realm is holding 10 Halloween themed events to stretch our friends and guests imagination and creativity. In order to keep each event fresh and exciting; each event has a twist. This Friday, October 18th the twist was that the Halloween party is at the beach. "Ghouls Night at the Beach". Halloween and beach, which direction it should went?  Hmmmmmmmm, let thiink about this:  Sexy witches in Bikinis, Zombie Pirates, Creatures from the Sea, Ghostly lifeguards? This was the challenge for our friends and guests tonight. they had to decide and show us again them Halloween creativity to join us at our Caribbean Beach themed Halloween event "Ghouls Night At the Beach!" 

My absolute favorite was really the Zombie Pirates and in my Imagination appears the haunted Pirates of Caribbean. Maybe some make it. I prepared a pirates costume at first too but decided short before the event to go as sexy witch in a wicca bikini. It wasn't easy to find a matching pair of bra and panties, only the bloody body was easy to make. 

A new weekend and new excitement. Surely it would be much easier to just have a Halloween party and not to challenge the creativity of our friends and guests every time with new themes. But it is more fun and we have to think about what we can wear for these events, if we can reuse costumes, accessories and special effects or if we have to buy new ones. SecondLife is so full of good designers and it's fun to look around and find something new. That's exactly what keeps the virtual world of SecondLife going in the end. Today we didn't have to prepare so much, some ghost ships with pirates and ghosts, some ghouls and of course the sea monster. The beach was also ready for this event. 

How many guests would come. We met shortly before 4pm. If you prepare three venues per week and have to find your costume, it can get tight. That's how it was today. I had only decided at the last minute for a new outfit. Then some people wanted something more from me and my IM- Box got fuller and fuller with flashing news. But somehow I managed to send the invitations and open the event. Everything else would happen. I was happy when the first guests came, DJ Valantine recorded her music stream and the event had started.

DJ Valantine entertained us again with an impressive set. We had more than 50 guests and most of them stayed. Some weren't really in the Halloween mood at the beginning and had just read "Strand", but we were able to sort that out quickly and everyone adapted. At the end 46 people were together and celebrated the beach party with us. And there were really excellent costumes, some came as pirates and we had a lot of fun together. It was a successful and beautiful event to which everyone contributed with their costumes and the good mood.

Of course there was a contest again. Hey, it's the Sunshine Realm. Here we do not only do without admission, we distribute L$ to our guests. So we filled the jackpot with 1,000 L$. Everybody can come with his friends, and so in the end all winners are. Because we run the contests in split mode, so everyone gets the pro rata value for their votes. So if you come with your friends and invite them and they vote for you, you get something from the jackpot. That's fairer than only winning 3 who might be on their way with the most alts. Since we had more than 30 participants again, we increased the jackpot again to 1,250 L$. That's all we did today and that's how it went in the voting. 

The voting was relatively quiet. Our "new" neighbour is fortunately our former neighbour. The attempt to open a third club in our region was broken off. He was our guest later, but the country is free again. Unfortunately some guests do not learn it, and since we want to prevent after the negative experiences of the last weeks, we kicked 2 participants out of the contest. Multiple clicks on the board in quick succession, and we don't just take out the click, at least if we suspect that they form a group. But by and large it was even and we were able to collect the votes from all of them quickly, all 37 participants voted. Also the payout ran properly and we were able to say goodbye to the guests on time. Of course we invited everyone to join us again tomorrow.

Then it was time for the after-party. DJ Valantine played a bit longer. We always pulled bare and danced topless. Its an adult region and some of the Sunshine Girls are pretty dancers in SL. After Valantine disappeared into bed, I had a TV and made some music with Youtube. It was a really nice ending, and around 8pm the after-party was finished and we all disappeared into bed.
