Monsters of Rock

This event left many questions unanswered, as we kept a low profile at the beginning. What is this event? Well, we started the Halloween season 2019 and invited alls friends and guests to a Monsters of Rock Event. Yes, Yes Yessssss! It's Halloween Time again.

With this event we wanted to remind all of a bygone time. 



We go back to the October 2016. Many of us know each other from previous clubs Misty has run. For me this time together started 2015 in the Cream Dance Club. There I met some of them who still belong to the Sunshine Family today. Besides Misty and Bic, who I both knew before, there were Valantine, Celi, Yezika, Ruby, Vanny, Yuimetal and Cintia. And this list is certainly not exhaustive. When the Cream Dance Club closed its doors forever, the former Trails End Music Hall Club followed a few weeks later. At that time a lot changed from a strip club to an event venue. And for many of us it's a very good memory. Maybe can this explain the special relationship and love to the new Trails End Music Hall Club aside of the Sunshine Garden in this beautiful landscape. 

There we celebrated Halloween for the first time, and we didn't used only the barn itself, we built a separate skybox together too. Here the first Halloween celebrations took place, and there are a lot of memories connected with it. Therefore we start our Halloween season 2019 with Monsters of Rock around the new Trails End Music Hall Club and want to tie together these beautiful memories.

DJ Yezika opened the Halloween season 2019 and she entertained us with an awesome set like usual. Ruby and Vanny were there too as support for her. And to stay in past for a moment. DJ Yezika & Ruby were there 2016 too. This year want we make many wonderful events at different places in the Sunshine Realm. And that's certainly not so often in SecondLife, we don't repeat the events week after week in the same place, we always create new places. Even if we return to this event somehow also to an old and familiar, and yet new place.

We decorated the Trails End Music Hall Club yesterday and got it all ready. It was supposed to be a general Halloween party without a special theme, so we hung up some matching pictures and distributed Halloween decorations and pumpkins. The windows were covered with curtains to make it more comfortable. It will be the only party during Halloween time at this place, so it should be enough. 

Yesterday was also the RezDay of Misty. And since it's something like a birthday in SecondLife, we have made a corner again. One day late, because we don't have any events in our clubs on Monday, but of course we congratulated her and hopefully one day late. Thank you Bic for helping with the banner with short notice again.

We met shortly before 5pm and when DJ Yezika, Ruby and Vanny arrived we could start on time. Unfortunately it was already clear today that we would have problems with the contestboard again. And there were only 4 or 5 guests, but the board took 20 seconds to load. And we hadn't started yet. Is it SecondLife, or is it no coincidence that we have a new neighbor and that he also throws particle effects around in the empty club? I do believe in coincidences, but that's what happens. So we reset the contestboard, put it back in the inventory and got it out again to have it really "clean". And then the event started. 

Our friends and guests came with wonderful Halloween costumes and it quickly got fuller. Fortunately we were at the Trails End Music Hall Club and that's the biggest venue in our Sim. Some new guests came again this time, which of course makes us very happy. Maybe there will be more in the next days, and everyone will come again. We would be happy anyway. So there were 55 guests at our event in the evening. Due to the fluctuation 48 people were together in the barn at the end. And there were some wonderful costumes to see. 

But our fears came true. Since so many were registered in the contest, we had increased the jackpot to 1,250 L$. But we could see in the Landgroup chat that our region is in trouble. Our neighbours could hardly move in the region, and one of the land managers was in the region. Our contest board was totally laggy, with a look at the performance monitors the curve was pointing down. A single click took 30 seconds, and the voting hadn't started yet. And we were in a skybox high above the country. We tried, the board was extremely slow, but the clicks were assigned correctly, even if the confirmation came 3-4 pages later. Unfortunately, all explanations don't help, warnings are not heard. If the confirmation does not come in 5 seconds, many click again, then a few seconds again, and then they start a volley of 5 - 10 clicks. Now every click is processed, there are many blue unvote windows that are clicked away, or not. And the board really goes down. So we took it out of traffic for 10 minutes. And again explained, if someone clicks 10 times and the board takes 30 seconds, then all other 5 minutes wait. It's really ruthless what some people do.

After the warnings and a cooling-off break for the board we finished the voting almost on time. But it was just connected with excitement again. Somehow we still hope that even the last ones will learn it and stop making the voting so difficult not only for themselves but especially for the others. A little patience and consideration, and nothing can happen. But hope should die last. The disbursements also worked out and we were all able to say goodbye home. A wonderful evening was almost over.

But only almost. Because there is always an after-party. And even if it is usually a bit shorter on Tuesday, and we all have to go to bed, we still danced a bit together. We also took off some clothes, pulled our tits bare and had some fun. At 8pm it was really over and we all went to bed.

Be careful, most of our Parties are themed and you need matching clothes. But this is not other as RL, people with wrong clothes damage the mood of the venue for all others.
