Halloween 2019

Like every year, Halloween is an important time of the year. We love this special time. And since last Tuesday we are all again "Children of the Night" in the Sunshine Realm. This makes it the longest Halloween event period we've ever had. It's an eerie time when we can all slip into different costumes. And we've thought about different themes that we'll be doing in different places all over our Sunshine Realm.



Samhain is the ancient Celtic origin of today's Halloween festival. On this day the access to Otherworld is open. Well, we've already opened it and our Otherworld, or Counter-Earth, is the Realm of Shades. And whether you call it Halloween or Samhain, it's an exciting time we're all looking forward to.

For the rest of the month it's the center of our Sim, the old gothic church ruin is again surrounded by an eerie swamp and at the corners there's a Celtic cult place and at the other corner a witch house. 

 Between the events there will be the landing point. The Sim is already open for excursions, so take your time and just drop by. Or visit one of our upcoming Halloween events in 2019. There are still nine of them left. We started on Tuesday, and it was great. Following informations about all events.

Monsters of Rock, 10/08/2019

This event left many questions unanswered, as we kept a low profile at the beginning. What is this event? Well, we started the Halloween season and invited all friends and guests to a Monsters of Rock Event. Yes, Yes Yessssss! It's Halloween Time again.


We started the Halloween Season and wanted wanted to remind with this event all to a bygone time. 


We go back to the October 2016. Many of us know each other from previous clubs Misty has run. For me this time together started 2015 in the Cream Dance Club. There I met some of them who still belong to the Sunshine Family today. Besides Misty and Bic, who I both knew before, there were Valantine, Celi, Yezika, Ruby, Vanny, Yuimetal and Cintia. And this list is certainly not exhaustive. When the Cream Dance Club closed its doors forever, the former Trails End Music Hall Club followed a few weeks later. At that time a lot changed from a strip club to an event venue. And for many of us it's a very good memory. Maybe can this explain the special relationship and love to the new Trails End Music Hall Club aside of the Sunshine Garden in this beautiful landscape. 

There we celebrated Halloween for the first time, and we didn't used only the barn itself, we built a separate skybox together too. Here the first Halloween celebrations took place, and there are a lot of memories connected with it. Therefore we start our Halloween season 2019 with Monsters of Rock around the new Trails End Music Hall Club and want to tie together these beautiful memories.

Night of Witches & Warlocks, 10/11/2019

The first beings from the beyond have awakened, and the rift that connects the shadow world with our world begins to open slowly. Since there is a portal to the afterlife at the cemetery opposite the church ruin in the Realm of Shades, the witches and sorcerers gather in the church ruin and organize a witch meeting and prepare the arrival with a witch dance. Their goal is to have the portal and cemetery appear on the surface of the Sunshine Realm for Halloween, so the undead can enter the street in front of and into the Sunshiner's Pub to take control of the Sunshine Realm. 

We opened with this event the rebuilt Realm of Shades on 10/11. Wir nearly 70 visitors and 52 of this together in this sim was the event very good and most had a lot fun.

Costumes & Cocktails, 10/12/2019

First we just wanted to make another formal Halloween ball. But that was too easy or too general for us, and we can't walk around with bloody clothes for a month. Halloween is the time when we can slip into costumes and be someone else. Costumes & Cocktails. A cocktail is usually a high-proof alcohol mixed drink. So different ingredients are mixed, which then combine to something new. And exactly this is what we want for this night.

That's why we invite you to a very special dance ball on Saturday. Tonight is our "Steampunk Night". Combine the modern and futuristic elements with the Victorian age, mix both to your own costume cocktail. And through the Victorian elements it's kind of like a formal dance ball. And we have Halloween. And which place in the Sunshine Realm could be better, our Burlesque ballroom? So find your steampunk outfit and come to our night "Costumes & Cocktails".

The challenge is started and we look forward to see you all to this special event.

Night of Walking Dead, 10/15/2019

It's time again, the undead come to the Sunshine Realm. Again we didn't manage to prevent the apocalypse. Also this year the undead will be walking around in the Sunshine Realm. Sorry, we didn't pay enough attention, they are appeared yesterday at the cemetery at the Realm of Shades and found their way to the gates. The festival place has been transformed into a ghostly swamp again. It's been a very good hiding place. And between the moor witches the undead are now on their way. 

They try now to reach the new festival place in front of the new Haunted Mansion, where the living have barricaded themselves. We just managed to close off the festival place with a rusty fence, but we don't know if it will last long. So we send a distress call to all survivors of the apocalypse to come to us and help send the zombies back to Otherworld this evening. And who knows if a haunted mansion is the best place to entrench?

In 2017 we spontaneously celebrated a "Zombie Apocalypse" for Halloween and hunted zombies. Back then the set for this event was created in only 3 hours. We converted the warehouse above the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. Then we repeated this 2018 with "Zombie Apocalypse 2018" in the urban skybox, at that time already with more effort. The zombies had already overrun almost the whole Skybox, only a run-down junkyard in one corner we could protect.

Come to our special Halloween event and find a suitable outfit. No matter if you are a zombie yourself, one of the survivors of the apocalypse or a zombie hunters in this new apocalypse. Come to our "Night of Walking Dead", our 4th Halloween event 2019. Come to the Swamp aside the Realm of Shades for 2 hours fun with our awesome DJ Yezika and her Nightwish Family!

Ghoul's Night at Beach, 10/18/2019

The month of October is special in Secondlife due to the Halloween season. Secondlife is a fantasy world and dressing up your avatar doll is only limited to your imagination. During the month of October Sunshine realm is holding 10 Halloween themed events to stretch your imagination and creativity. In order to keep each event fresh and exciting; each event has a twist. This Friday, October 18th the twist is that the Halloween party is at the beach. "Ghouls Night at the Beach". Hmmmmmmmm  Sexy witches in Bikinis, Zombie Pirates, Creatures from the Sea, Ghostly lifeguards? This is for you to decide - use your Halloween creativity and join us at our Beach themed Halloween event "Ghouls Night At the Beach!!" 

My absolute favorite are really the Zombie Pirates and in my Imagination appears Pirates of Caribbean. Maybe some will make it.

Blues, Boos & Brew, 10/19/2019

This Saturday night October 19th join us for our Blues, Boos and Brews event. This is Sunshine Realm's 6th event in our October Halloween themed extravaganza. This event features Blues music, Ghostly Halloween costumes and lots of beer and wildness. Think of a rocking college party - Halloween style. So put on a costume, grab a beer and join us at our "Blues, Boos and Brews party for some rocking blues music and great fun. The term "Boos" clearly references ghosts so the costumes should be scary and spirited. We look forwarded to you spending a fun and exciting evening with the Sunshine Realm gang!

We planned this event first in the Sunshiner's Pub. But By the courageous and resolute effort of the zombie hunters at our "Night of Walking Dead" event it was possible to recapture the place in front of the "Haunted Manor" in the swamp of the Sunshine Realm and to expel the zombies back to the otherworld. So we moved it to the regained place in the Realm of Shades because its possible, that more Beings and Witches coming to this event and the space could be to less for all in our Sunshiner's Pub.

We want to celebrate relief of the Realm of Shades this evening. So we come back to the place in front of the house in the swamp. Here we want make a more general halloween party together with our friends and guests. All kinds of Halloween costumes are allowed, if we celebrate that we could fight back this place from the undead.

Work Off that Candy, 10/20/2019

Now we celebrate already some days Halloween and have collected thereby also each quantity of sweets. Dressed up as ghosts, witches and gnomes we went through the streets and called out "Trick & Treat" again and again. There were also lots of sweets. Who doesn't know that. And of course we ate most of them and gained weight. So now it's time for a workout. And we have the right venue and want to invite you to a workout in our Sunshine Gym.

Work Off that Candy is our 7th Halloween event. So find workout clothes that somehow fit to Halloween. So a combination of spooky and sporty. Come to this unique spooky sporty Halloween event.

Festival of Frights, 10/25/2019

    This is our Horror Movie Festival in Sunshine Realm. And its not the first event with this special theme. This is a kind of tradition here too, but we didn't use this name for it so far. We made it in 2017 as our "Horror Movie Halloween". We moved the event to my old homeland and the underground garage. It was the 2nd event in the garage where later the Sunshine Realm started. The name of the garage would changed to "Haunted Garage" for this event and we used this name nearly a half year. 

    The second horror movie event was planned as our "Scare in the Warehouse" 2018. This is the event with never took place because we had a lot lag and  trouble in the sim and moved for a restart of the sim to the Club Room without contest. The landmanager didn't make the restart, we waited and couldn't back and the event failed. It was the one event which we canceled in all the time at the Sunshine Realm. 

    Maybe a bad omen? Scared? Well, than you are in the right mood for this event. Because we try it again now as our "Festival of Fright". The scary fun begins, are you done?

    Come to the old Church Ruin in the Realm of Shade and wear the costume of an Horror or scared movie to Join us. We want celebrate spooky or scared movies this night. We look forward to see you in your favorite costume and hope to see bloodthirsty vampires, vengeful mummies, ghastly ghosts, beauties and blobs from outer space, mad doctors, psycho killers, vampires, werewolves and much more!

Witching Hour, 10/26/2019

We wanted a formal ball every month. And even in October it shouldn't be any different. Even if we celebrate Halloween. And also in the previous years we had formal Halloween nights with "Monsters Prom Date" and "Bloody Formal Ball". So the announcement for this event is only "black and formal". No matter if you come as a witch or a witch, as a vampire or a dark elf, or as a demon or a zombie. The only important thing is, it has to be black this time, and formal. 

So I will also have to look for a new dress, I was the last years with a bloody wedding dress to the formal dance balls. And which place could be better as our Sunshine Temple? Come to our Witching Hour, the formal Halloween Ball.

Nightmare on Churchyard, 10/29/2019  (updated)

This event is the final of our Halloween Season. We wanted go back to the ground where the otherworld is open complete and the rift is steadied now. But the rift as a new cemetery appeared not in the street. Instead the world parting and the rift consolidated in the swamp aside of the Realm of Shades. All kinds of beings and undead are here and dancing at the Churchyard in front of the Church Ruin for 2.5 hours. 


Come to our halloween finale at the Realm of Shades. We used the Realm of Shades as base line through our halloween time and we want finish here too. We will celebrate tomorrow at the Churchyard, the place in front of the old ruin aside of the small cemetery. The Realm of Shades turns back to the Sunshine Realm after this event.
