Goodbye Chant Lyrics
In SecondLife there are always changes. A day in SL is 4 hours long (3 hours day + 1 hour night in the Mainland). Thus SecondLife runs 6 times faster than in the normal world. So it seems to give also changes faster, you loses people from your eyes and wins new friends. And a club holds on the average probably only one three-quarter year. Well, we exist now already nearly 2 years, in December 2017 we opened and are still briefly before Christmas 2017 moved to the present position in the region Deep Lust. But we also reinvent ourselves every week, create new venues and new themes for parties and keep the thrill high. But that's not what it's about today, it's not about the Sunshine Realm. And don't worry, we don't want to change at the moment. But in almost the whole time we had a wonderful neighbour here in the region with Chant Lyrics. She has done many wonderful projects on her land, and even though she had rented less and more land in the region, she was always there.

We were able to build our land on both sides without border walls, adapted our border areas and there was never a reason to build a wall. Unfortunately you see these ugly separations again and again, and even if it is forbidden in the Covenant, only rarely something is done. Sometimes I had the impression that we had voted. Chant builds in her Sim with great attention to detail and wonderful ideas. Many also somehow unique. And we were able to talk about problems and exchange ideas.
Our way of understanding SecondLife is similar. She also runs several venues and organizes events in her sim. Also at Chant there are constant changes in the Sim. It builds and implements new ideas. If you are looking for a place to get married, you should really visit her. Since she comes from Australia, and we organize our events with more American East Coast time, there has never been any overlap, we have divided the resources quasi naturally. That's how it worked so well that two big "clubs" in one region. Now there have been three problems here in the last months, first with the ABC horses, until this has settled in, then a BDSM Fetish Club which had also tried to push up its traffic value with bots and finally this October with the DJ and his oversized stage full of fireworks and light effects which he fired even when he wasn't there and the country was empty. Each time we had to deal with lag and enormous delays in loading the textures. As a result, contests could only be finished with problems and the INTAN Dance Ball System failed. About freezing while moving the cam or not running to talk. And you can proof this each time with the ressource monitor, and the problems are exactly limited to this time.

We often got to hear that our clubs consume too many resources, but at least from our point of view there were always triggers from the outside, when we had such strong failures. And often it sounded more like an excuse for a layman. And even if our equipment consumes a lot of resources, most of them "sleep" when we don't have events. Then, of course, things can get critical, an open Sim with up to 80 guests brings a region to its limits. While the problems were manageable for us in the last 2 weeks, Chant didn't get any better. Since the land manager didn't know the solution either, maybe because he sees us as part of the problem and we're not willing to change our event concepts, she took the consequences. And so we have now lost a good neighbour.

I wish Chant all the best in her new region and hope that the technical problems will not be repeated there. We will miss them very much here. If you ever think about finding a place for a special celebration, maybe a wedding, you should definitely stop by Chant Lyrics. Unfortunately, it seems difficult for people to create worlds in SecondLife. And sometimes you feel left alone with the problems. And there are also enough people who have nothing else to do but hinder, like a Grieffer attack or hacking. An open event sim can be an attraction for the sim. And sims without border walls, with smooth transitions and a common concept are an attraction. But we fight with horse breeder, people without inspirations and bot farmer. All tenants are equal. Ok, we pay the same fee. But some splitting sim, and other connecting sims and build a whole region together. In the long run SecondLife will become poorer and more boring if builders like Chant would stop. And a region is colorless without them. Maybe landlords should finally think long term. And change the covernants for the free parcels and seek tenants which seek a homestead in a beautiful sim and stay long in the paradise without borderwalls, instead to allow the next fetish club with bots, a oversized stage at the border with tons of effects and breeder.
The new location for Chant Lyric is in the region Shimmering Waters. I am sure its again a wonderful place and more as a view worth and you should save this landmark. We wish Chant and her friends all fun which they lost at end in Deep Lust.
