Night of Walking Dead, Zombie Apocalypse 2019
It's time again, the undead come to the Sunshine Realm. Again we didn't manage to prevent the apocalypse. Also this year the undead will be walking around in the Sunshine Realm. Sorry, we didn't pay enough attention, they are appeared yesterday at the cemetery at the Realm of Shades and found their way to the gates. The festival place has been transformed into a ghostly swamp again. It's been a very good hiding place. And between the moor witches the undead are now on their way.
They try now to reach the new festival place in front of the new Haunted Mansion, where the living have barricaded themselves. We just managed to close off the festival place with a rusty fence, but we don't know if it will last long. So we send a distress call to all survivors of the apocalypse to come to us and help send the zombies back to Otherworld this evening. And who knows if a haunted mansion is the best place to entrench?
In 2017 we spontaneously celebrated a "Zombie Apocalypse" for Halloween and hunted zombies. Back then the set for this event was created in only 3 hours. We converted the warehouse above the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. Then we repeated this 2018 with "Zombie Apocalypse 2018" in the urban skybox, at that time already with more effort. The zombies had already overrun almost the whole Skybox, only a run-down junkyard in one corner we could protect.
We met us short before in our Realm of Shades and checked all. We were very excited and waited. At 5pm came DJ Yezika with Ruby and Vanny Nightwish and they started the entertainment for this event. All three came with amazing outfits too and help us each week to run the tuesday event so successful. It was an amazing mood from the first moment and the new place was very impressive for all. It was really success to prepare this venue and event. It was really success to prepare this venue and event. its wonderful to see that a plan work.
Sadly, if you have a new place, some stuff will not work. And the october is very challenging for us. We have 3 new venues per week and we need matching clothes for the events too. I planned to use the staff tipjars from the church. The range of tipjars was limited, or some of our Sunshine Girls tried to wear them from the distance. We needed a fast solution. We moved the tipjars to the venus itsself to solve this issue. The second mistake was the size of the venue. The place is very huge, the fences should concentrate people. But people standing so rambled that not all were together in the chat range. We needed a relay which we established and justified fast too. After some minutes was all at the new place in the green range and the event ran well.
Funny was the mix of people. So almost all guests came as Zombies. And the Sunshine Girls were all hunters. So there was a good mixture on the venus. I had taken out the zombie cages I had built months ago. Now it was time to use them. In this one there is a script with which I can "catch" avatars. It's not the fine type, but when I enter a UUI, this person is actually pushed into the cage. Of course, there are simple ways to protect yourself from it. But tonight the fun really worked and we were able to lock almost all zombies in three cages. Since some of the guests only come for the contest, most of them stayed in the cages.
We had 50 visitors that evening. Of course it could have been more. But during the week with so many Halloween events at the same time it is a solid result. Of those there were 43 together in the sim, that's really good. So we could be satisfied with the evening in every respect. And I'm sure some of us won't forget this evening.
We also had another contest. As always we had opened the board at the beginning with 1,000 L$. Since more than 30 visitors also took part in the contest, we increased the jackpot to 1,250 L$. So we went into the voting. Today the Sim was almost Lag- free. And this, although the daily restart for 3 days had failed to take place. The voting was very even and in 10 minutes 34 people had voted. Thus we could say goodbye to all guests punctually. Of course we also pointed out the next events. So we will meet on Friday for "Ghoul's Night at Beach" at our Caribbean beach for our next Halloween highlight.
Of course we stayed a few minutes longer today and had our after-party. DJ Yezika played a few minutes longer before we switched to the radio. It was a nice ending. Above without dancing zombie hunters can be really sexy. Especially this part of the party is always special, maybe you should stop by. Some men did that today.
Of course there is a Google Images Album with pictures again. It was a nice and dark event, and the pictures might show you some of this mood. Now we're looking forward to the beach night when it's called "Ghoul's Night at the Beach".
