Events between 2/26 and 3/08

Now Mardi Gras is getting ready with big steps and the preparations have already begun. We are still recovering from the two new party formats last weekend. Both, our first Workout in the new Sunshine Gym and our "Garden of the Gods" party in our (almost) new Acropolis Temple were well attended and successful again. We had a lot of fun to preparing this events, and of course the events themselves were great. Thank you to all which joined.

Hats are to put on

Put on a hat today, maybe a Stetson, a felt hat, a beret or whatever, when you come to our special event at this day. The crazier, the better. Surprise us! Because the hats are obligatory at Sunshiner's Pub for this event. The crazy hat maker from "Alice in Wonderland" would certainly be proud of us. Let your jacket at the door, and if you want your pants or short too, or your lingerie. But put on a hat. This was the invitation to our event today.

At the beginning of time only chaos existed, so the Greek history of the gods begins. And this is often the case even today. At least one should think. That's how it was when we started planning this event. Something for our new temple hill, and best of all with Greek and Roman mythology. It's easy, one would think. At least in the world of Secondlife, which is only built from dreams and fantasies. And yet it was difficult. At the beginning only chaos existed.

Woohooo ... Thank God its Friday. And a new (old) venue in our Sunshine Realm. Today we want to go with you to our new Sunshine Gym, which we have furnished in the old Warehouse.

Again, it was actually the emergency plan to use the warehouse for this idea. But time ran out in the end and we started to design this place yesterday. The new Sunshine Gym was born. 


Misty and I had a lot of fun creating this place together. We think we did a good job, and thanks to the textures of Bic it's certainly a unique place in SecondLife again. We hope that the fun we had building will be transferred to the party and we will be able to hold some big events with our friends and guests here.

After the success of our Salsa night we started to plan another Latin American night. And the salsa music and dance is based on Cuban folklore and African-Cuban roots. And Havana, the ancient pearl of the Caribbean, is the capital of Cuba. So the theme for this evening was found.

Country Night

Country Night at Trails End Music Hall

After the big success with our "Hearts On Fire" Valentine Ball yesterday we wanted to get some breath today. So we went back to an already proven format, and went to a Country Night at the Trails End Music Hall Club. The barn is not only a great place for such an event, it's also ready. And events at Trails End Music Hall are always something special, as was the case at our first Country Night 2019 in January. So only the equipment had to be brought in by our Acropelis and everything was ready. We reused an old poster and the landing point had to be moved. Our 2nd Country Night 2019 could begin.

Thursday the 14th of February was Valantine Day again. The special day for all people in love in many countries of our world. I hope nobody of you have forgotten it and bought gifts and flowers for the one and only lover, this special person in your life. Maybe you could enjoyed the day with your lover at a romantic dinner with candle lights or dancing together in the moonlight.  

Hearts On Fire was our Valentine Day Celebration 2019. And we made a romantic formal dance ball because we love formal gowns with jewelery and flowers, and we love to see men in suits and tux. We spend 3 hours with our friends and guests. And we created a new venue for this event, our own Acropilis, Mount Olympus or temple hill.

After-Work with friends at Sunshiner's Pub

The invitation today was really simple. "Come as you are" to a relaxing time in our Sunshiner's Pub. We wanted save our ressources to prepare our Valentine Ball at friday and wanted the same chance for our guests. So we looked forward to an "easy" evening in our Sunshiner's Pub, and we didn't expected many guests tonight. But its really difficult to say before, how many people would join our events. And tonight we got again a new surprise.

We were back in the Sunshine Garage today. Its really some weeks ago that we used the Garage for the Day of German Unity Party. And the dusky and abandoned Garage is a very unique and special place for events. You can feel the wet walls there, cold water dripping from the walls. We have tried to renovate the Garage twice, but at the end the cost are to high. So we decided to give up this place and bulldozers will come soon to  tear down the old street above the Sunshine Realm.

A good month after we started the New Year in the western world, the Chinese are also celebrating their New Year celebrations. For them, the year of the pig begins on 5th of February 2019. The reason for this deviation is the old lunisolar calendar, which dates back to the imperial period. And while we know 12 signs of the zodiac in the year, stands in China always a whole year under a sign of one zodiac. The Chinese astrology also knows 12 signs of the zodiac, Budda invited all animals to follow the legend. But only 12 have appeared. But in China there are also the elements, fire, earth, water, metal and wood which occur as Yin and Yang, so 2 times.  Therefore every combination of an element with the sign of the zodiac occurs only every 60 years. On 5th of February 2019 begins the year of the earth pig. Today we met us to celebrate this with our friends and guests.

After two days of having the Super Bowl Parties at the Sunshine Realm (Preheating, Day before), we went to the Room Club today. Valantine had prepared everything for a Tailgating Party. Deckchairs, grill and drinks and of course a big screen to broadcast the game. Even though it didn't work out this time, it was a great idea.

Just one more day, then it's time. The Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta at 3th of February is a reason for many parties. At the Sunshine Realm everything spinning around the Super Bowl and football this weekend. So we were in our sports bar again today, the redecorated Sunshiner's Pub. Some of our friends and guests followed our invitation.

This is the weekend with the biggest sport event world wide. At sunday will playing the New England Patriots with Tom Brady as Quarterback against the Los Angeles Rams with the Quarterback Jared Goff  in Atlanta. We have some football enthusiast in our family and looks forward at an interesting and fair game. But before this we will celebrate some events at the Sunshine Realm.
