Rock In The Garage at 2/16/2017

Weekend again. Like in many places you can hear us say "Thank God it's Friday". And we start the long party weekend in SecondLife with the Sunshine Cove Family clubs. After the last 2 weeks we were not sure how the event would turn out. If at all, and if so, how many guests would come. After the Mardi Gras parties at our Sunshine Cove's French Quarter we were back in the Haunted Garage.

As usual we started in the Room Club of Valantine with 4 hours of Maximum Rock. Because it was disproportionately quiet, many of our friends didn't come because of the vacation time, it wasn't the best conditions as we all changed to the garage. But the first guests were already waiting for us. Valantin took over the DJ Desc and started performing 2 hours of rock music for us.

The garage is really a special place with a unique atmosphere. The large parking deck with the lights and the stage on one side. Here you can also find dance balls for couples, women and men. These are well filled, so it was no wonder that soon all danced and also couples have gathered to dance and relax.

Soon it got more crowded in the garage and we decided to increase the prize money in the contest board from 1,000 Linden to 1,250 Linden and extended the registration time. Word has got around, and some new guests have come. Since we also used the group chat, some guests have arrived who we haven't seen for a few weeks. So there was a donation to raise the prize money to 1,500 Linden.  In the end we were 56 people in the garage. Unfortunately, some of them had to leave us earlier and could not stay until the end. That evening we were more than 60 visitors.

The atmosphere was very good and cheerful, and when the voting started, everyone was patient and disciplined. Even though it was a bit laggy during the vote, the sim was good and we all had fun. After the winners were determined, most of the guests left. Valantine gave us an extra time so that we had a nice afterparty in the circle of friends and we all were happy about a really good party.
