Mardi Gras @ Sunshine Cove Family 2018

In many countries carnival is very popular. And with the Sunshine Cove family we have a tradition of colourful carnival events. So we make us thought about it this year too, and had already starts days before to prepare a place. After a normal carnival and carnival in Brazil we wanted to go this year to the south of the USA and celebrate "Mardi Gras" in New Orleans. 

Now it's difficult to rebuild the French Quarter in a few days, and it's probably too expensive for a single day. But we wanted to recreate the flair of the street carnival of New Orleans in SecondLife. Misty do built an amazing street szene as place for our annual carneval event.

The landing point is on the docks on the coast. From here you can enjoy the sea behind you or have a look at our Sunshine Cove's French Quarter. At the back of the street is a party truck parked and the events will take place.

And we will start this weekend and planning 2 events as pregaming of the Mardi Gras Party at tuesday.

Pregaming at Tuesday

We will start earlier than usual on Tuesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat day", that's how we want to handle it. We start at 3pm with our incomparable and amazing DJ Valantine. She will spinning rock music for us over 120 minutes. Perhaps some of our European friends will come, for whom the main event is unfortunately too late. We will put 500 Linden in the Contest to split. Invite your friends and enjoy this event.

Mardi Gras at Sunshine Cove's French Quarter

The main event starts at 5pm slt and our wonderful DJ Yezika will create the right atmosphere with the Nightwishes. I'm sure her Latin American temperament will come out right. She will entertain us for 150 minutes and we will do a contest with 1,000 Linden in split mode. So, invite your friends, come, relax and spend a good time with music and dance in our virtual street.
