Punk Rock Night

Punk Rock Night

As we talked about events for the week, one idea was to do a Punk Rock Night. Then we know, Punks not dead!. We actually had the plan to organize a simpler event. Misty had redecorated the Sunshiner's Pub with a new carpet and other pictures on the wall, and a suitable outfit should be quickly found in SecondLife.

Well, we didn't think about the Sunshine Family there. Our Sunshiner Family is really very special and amazing. It's nice how some really follow every topic and prepare themselves. Now punk rock isn't really a topic for everyone, at least for me it was especially hard this time. I sought many hours in shops and visited clubs, i looked in the marketplace. But i was not really happy. And thus  I also rather chose a middle way between rock, goth and punk. But in the end it was funny to prepare and to be completely unconservative.

We met us in the Sunshiner's Pub for 2.5 hours fun at 5pm and celebrated our first Punk Rock Night. Punks not dead. DJ Yezika had some technical problems this night, but could fix all and entertained us with a good mix from Punk and other Rock Music.

It was fun to see so many in outfits that fit the theme and were unusual. It's always exciting what some of us do with this topic. And that's what makes SecondLife so exciting. It is not standing around in clubs and waiting, especially not with ALTs. It's always trying yourself out, slipping into new roles and sometimes being crazy. And to have fun together, to create, instead of just playing the same game again and again.

And even though it was harder for me, and maybe for others. Some really have special and unusual ideas again. It was really wonderful to see so many different outfits.

At first it seemed as if not many people would follow our theme this time. It was a slow start. But then some people came and then it quickly got fuller.

So there were 40 guests who ended up celebrating together at Sunshiner's, and of course the topic was local chat punk. So it turned out to be a good event and we had a lot of fun together and danced. It's always nice to see how many we reach after all. We can really only think about and prepare themes, but life brings the guests to the events, animated by some of the Sunshine Girls.

And there was another contest. We filled it again with 1,000 L$ and opened it in splitmode. Of course many of the visitors took part, and so we had 30 participants. Unfortunately it was once again something Laggy, but SecondLife has some problems these days, and it is not only a simple problem with the TP. Maybe more guests would have come, but crashed in the teleport. So there were again warning words to the participants, and the voting was quite quiet. I only warned 2 participants, but nobody had to be ejected this time.

After the contest and the main event was over, we stayed together even longer. DJ Yezika continued to play. And as always in our after-parties there was a lot of fun and naked skin to see. It was a successful evening, and thanks to the somewhat crazy theme also an evening that most of us will surely remember.

There is a Google Image Album again with more pictures about this event. Maybe you want watch it, and have fun. We look forward to see you at on of our events in future.
