Review of January 2019

January is now slowly coming to an end. Time to look back. And as in 2018, the start into the new year was again very successful. We continue the successful history of the Sunshine Realm with a series of interesting events. More than 550 guests visited the events and we distributed a total amount of L$ 22,750 in contests.  More as 1,000 visits to the Sunshine Realm in the first days of this year. We added a new Venue with the "Realm of Shades" during our Super Blood Wolf Moon Weekend.

As that is based on the core of Sunshine Family, we work together as friends. Some of us are together since years. And many friends support us, have just as much fun as we do with the events to slip into new costumes and find themselves at new venues. Many of the events were colourful and exuberant. And there is the Sunshine Cove Guests - Group. We have now stabilized this group with over 800 members, by the end of the month there were even 818 in the meantime.

We called our guests to a Salsa Night today in the Sunshiner's Pub. How did we get the idea? If you look in the overview for national days in the USA you will find this. The 29th of January is National Corn Chip Day. How can you celebrate a Corn Chip Day in SecondLife. The best way is corn chip topped with salsa or a little cheese. Ok, with Salsa. And we have with our DJ Yezika a hot Latina. And there is the Sunshiner's Pub in our Sim. Why not make a Salsa Night in the Sunshiner's? And we had an amazing night together with our guests and friends.

We want to go with you to the Winterland with our friends and guests today. The Winterland, our world with snow and ice. So we said our guests they should wear warm clothes. 

It was time to sit back and remember that we still have winter in the northern hemisphere, many of us are struggling with frost and snow. But also how beautiful and clean the winter is. We celebrated this event at our frozen Pond.

National Opposite Day at Sunshiner's Pub

What a day. At very short notice, we have decided on a difficult topic. The National Opposite Day on January 25th was the inspiration for our own Opposite Day at the Sunshine Realm. And with the Sunshiner's Pub we also had the right place for this evening. For many it became a challenge to find a suitable outfit. And it was only 4 hours time, for many even less. But that's also part of the Sunshine Family. Not the monotony of events, but always new ideas and tasks. And not only new venues and decorations, but also funny or creative outfits.

But that shouldn't be the only challenge this evening.

Now the blood moon is behind us and the magical power is slowly diminishing. The "Realm of Shades" fades slowly, but we went to one last event in the old ruins, and will celebrated one more exuberant.

Like every Tuesday at our evening rock night DJ Yezika entertained us with a fresh bundle of rocking tunes.

After our success with the event "Darkness under the Moon", was the leveling staff very high. Many were positively surprised by the new Sim, our "Realm of Shades". We were curious about the event today. This place was so amazing and inspired to fantasies. You will find "my prequel story" here in the static blog pages, illustrated with some pictures. 

The old gothic church ruin in the Realm of Shadows inspired us to the event today. It is really a fairytale world, enchanted and bewitched. And all of us love the formal nights with beautiful gowns and dancing together. We love it. This was the idea behind this event, Twilight and gowns. And all guests followed the invitation and came in wonderful gowns or darkk suits. Dark colors dominated the hall at this evening.

Our event today was "Darkness under the Moon" and we went in the new designed "Realm of Shadow", a Skybox about the Sunshine Realm. You can read the report the plannings in this blogpost, there is a video to find too.

Awaken in the Swamp

Something had happened. The last teleport hadn't worked, where had she landed here? She lay crouched like a baby on old stone slabs, it was dark and smelled damp and musty. She froze, trembled. She knew she couldn't stay here and slowly got up. Around her there were eerie noises to be heard. She was in the middle of a swamp.

Super Blood Wolf Moon at 20th and 21th of January

Super Blood Wolf Moon, it's Sunday night. A rare event, the Super Moon combined with the Blood Moon. And it is the first full moon in January, the Wolf Moon. So this weekend is dedicated to the Super Blood Wolf Moon. In the Real World and in SecondLife. A total lunar eclipse colors the moon red like blood, and that if the moon is in the shortest distance to the earth. Thus it appears much larger, but also the forces of the moon, which produces ebb and flow, are much larger. So the sun, earth and moon are in line, even when the moon is so close to the earth as seldom.  That happens very rarely, the next super blood moon will be only again in 18 years. The moon exerts a magical force. Some experts think that the probability of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions is higher. But also in the shadow world the full moon plays a role. A lot people can't sleep in this night and follows the call of the Moon.

Above the Sunshine Realm the Sun has set and the darkness has unfolded. 

The moon has risen behind grey clouds and opened the gap between our world and the world beyond. A cold breeze is blowing over the swamp and it smells rotten and musty. Eerie noises echo across the swamp, freezing the blood in your veins. The shadow beings have come out, and have taken over the Sunshine Realm and turned it into the Realm of Shades. Come to our Skybox and enjoy the mood of the darkness, in the Sign of the Super Blood Wolf Moon between 18th and 23th of January.

Yesterday I was again invited to a shooting. Some days before Velvet had already asked me if I had the time and the desire, and I was posing with 2 other girls of a secondlife club for a new calendar for just this club. Yesterday she asked me again if I didn't want to pose alone for the calendar. I was curious and it was fun to poses for her last time, so i said fast "yess".

After a short agreement about clothes and poses I decided against it to pose naked and decided for the lingerie of Erratic and open hair. And then there were heels from N-core, and my outfit was perfect. It could start.

Last Fight for Earth

It is the year 2145. We have changed our planet through warming and pollution. We have searched the universe for new resources. Each year we came deeper in the universe. And now it is certainty, we are not alone.  Aliens have reached our Earth and are preparing to invade it. 

The aliens have arrived at the Sunshine Realm. The last fight for Earth has begun around and in the warhouse. Will we be able to rescue our planet?

Actually, Misty and me were expecting a quiet weekend. When we planned it, we only had very simple ideas. We wanted to go to Sunshiner's Pub on Friday and Trains End Music Hall on Saturday. After the Christmas season and the events our expectations were not so high. Many are still on extended vacation. On Friday the spontaneous idea to organize a Trivia Party, it was the National Trivia Day in the USA, so a good idea. And it became a successful party.

So for today we thought about doing a "Country Night" again. DJ Alexa is actually always good for a successful country evening, and the Trails End Music Hall is really good for such an event. And it's always fun to find suitable clothes and to see what the other Sunshine Girls and the guests think about our topics. All in all it seemed to be a rather quiet evening, SecondLife was actually rather empty in all Sims.

National Trivia Day

Trivia Day at Sunshine Realm

Today was once again the National Trivia Day in the USA. Reason enough for us to play this in SecondLife also very popular game about useful and useless knowledge with our guests in the Sunshiner's. Or as it is translated, about useful little things. And Trivia is played often in Pubs, some call it Pub Quiz. Of course we also danced again, and DJ Valantine entertained us with rocky sounds.
