I want show you SecondLife through my eyes. SL is a virtual world build with dreams and fantasies, a world of contrasts. Everything is more colorful and brighter, and some things are much bigger. For some of us is SL very real who have the ability to experience dreams. I will reporting about events in Sunshine Realm, but also present amazing and beautiful Sims in the wonderful and fantastic world of SecondLife. I love shopping. I'll share some of my ideas with you. But finally, it's my diary.
We ended the month of March with a Rock Rave. We went back to the garage after a longer break and rocked the place with our friends and guests for some hours. Actually we wanted to give up the garage for a long time, it is the oldest venue in our Sunshine Realm. We have already accommodated it in different places, but couldn't bring ourselves to extinguish it. So it is still there, even if the entrance is a bit more hidden today and it is no longer a separate area. We prepared everything and were looking forward to the event.
The 3/30 is the national Take a walk in the Park Day in the USA. After a long busy day, a calming and therapeutic way to relax would be a nice, leisurely walk in the park. And we started with this event in the last weekend of this march. Taking a walk at a local park is an excellent way to clear one’s mind from the stresses of the day, re-energize and at the same time, to improve health. And this only today, the Sunshine Garden invites the guests each day to relax and spend time With friends.
This is the inspiration for our event at the 3/29, we started a walk through the Sunshiner Garden and the surrounding park with the "Trails End Music Hall". All our guests worn comfy clothes, and came to this unique event in the rebuild Sunshine Garden.
Air, earth, water or fire, which element do you represent?
Today we met again at Temple, and had a very special party together. It was about the 4 elements of ancient Greek philosophy, everyone was called upon to choose one element and somehow represent it, dress something that connects her to that element. Like every Tuesday we started at 5pm and Yezika and her Nightwish Family did the entertainment. We had redecorated the temple, let ourselves be inspired by the theme. Even though there was very little time, the Temple shone in a new light and shine, all under the sign of the elements. Bic, who had designed a new banner, helped us again.
Finally spring is back and almost at the same time the Holi festival is celebrated in India. This is often called the "Festival of Love". Which theme could be better to the Sunshine Realm than a variety of colors, different nationalities and cultures, and the love that unites everything? SecondLife is an open world without borders, and also our Sim, the Sunshine Realm, stands for tolerance and openness. Every week more than 100 guests visit our 3 weekly events with constantly changing themes and decorations. So we are happy to celebrate this day together with so many Hindus at tthe whole world.
After three days of celebrating Saint Patrick's Day Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Club Room)and lots of green beer we wanted something different today. So we had cleaned up yesterday and thought about it. Misty had already started to redecorate the Sunshiner's Pub into a Rock Pub, had changed the pictures and the carpet and had cleaned up other decorations. So yesterday we thought about what kind of event we could do. It should be something easier after the weekend, as we wanted to have a big spring ball in our Temple on Mount Olympus next Saturday.
Today is the day. After 2 days preheating it is finally Saint Patrick's Day, the Irish national holiday which is all about green colors and shamrocks. As usual we were together in Valantine's Club Room to celebrate this special day together. And do finish the weekend.
And now our event on Saturday is finished. After the preheading event yesterday, expectations were high. We were really looking forward to the evening. It was a wonderful evening, with a lot of good music, many friends of the Sunshine Family were together and we also had many guests. It was a successful evening, even if it looked like it was going to be a more difficult one at the beginning. Already the general conditions seemed bad, the SL servers were unusually slow, so there were not only problems when logging in, it was also everywhere very laggy. Fortunately our Sim had been restarted in the morning.
And it was time again. The Saint Patrick's Day celebrations are in full swing at the Sunshine Realm. We have rebuilt and decorated the road and today at 4pm it was so far. Like on Friday we only came to the beginning of the Club Room, where there was an event before. But it quickly got crowded, and there were really many beautiful costumes to see. DJ Valantine really picked out the best music and entertained us very well.
We starting in our celebrations for St. Paty 2019 today. We have 3 events planned, we starting today at the Sunshine Realm with a Street Festival for a Preheating Party in the redesigned Street before the Sunshiner's Pup and continue tomorrow with a party at the Sunshiner's Pub. We will finishing this weekend at the Club Room in a new designed small Pub in a skybox.
We built the Winterland in November 2018. It was a wonderfull and beautiful place to rest and relax. We spent some time there. The pathways around with some places to sit and animals and typical winter sounds. And in the middle of the winterland was an amazing frozen pond, beautiful trees around this. You couldn’t only skate on this pond, it was also an awesome place for some very nice events in the winter season 2018 / 2019. I made this video as memory for this wonderful place in our Sunshine Realm.
Even if the snow melts in the spring sun and the Winterland had to make room for a new project, it will remain in a good memory.
Today we wanted to get some air. And we haven't been to the Trails End Music Hall Club for a while. So we were looking for a theme that everyone could follow without much effort, and for which we didn't have much to prepare either.
After we went yesterday after the party on the 2nd floor to celebrate his 1st RezDay with Phil, we had prepared a surprise for today. What does Phil like? Ok, his favorite color is blue, but was that enough for a party? But he also likes jazz music, and you don't find that so often in SecondLife. Yes, before some protest now, in SecondLife there is actually almost everything you can imagine, or sometimes even can't imagine.
But would that be enough as a theme for a party? The roots of jazz go back far into the previous century, beginning 1910 it reached a zenith in the golden age of the 1920s. And that was the time of beautiful dresses, eye-catching jewelry, pompous hotels, and it was the time of Al Capone and the Chicago Mafia. And that was exactly the inspiration for today's event: "Mobsters & Molls". We wanted to go back to the roaring time with Flappers Dresses and Gatsby gowns.
After celebrating Mardi Gras on the street in front of Sunshiner's Pub on Tuesday, we came back here today for a samba party. Brazilian street carnival was the theme. We were curious in advance how many visitors would come, and whether everyone would use the chance to wear a crazy and colorful costume. The street was still colorfully decorated, maybe not as colorful as the Sambadrome in Rio, but it was carnival.
Today it was time again, Mardi Gras 2019. And of course there was a party at the Sunshine Realm. For many of us the street in front of the Sunshiner' Pub belongs to the Sunshine Realm and nobody can imagine it without. We built it as our "French Quarter" for Mardi Gras 2018, and wanted to tear it away afterwards. At that time even without the pub in the background, this one was only added for Saint Patrick. But first of all it comes differently than secondly you think it before. Today the street with the Sunshiner's Pub is an integral part of the Sunshine Realm. And the place where we celebrated Mardi Gras today.
And once again it was time for a special event for us. Under the motto "Dance in the barn" we organized a Country Night in our unique and awesome "Trails End Music Hall" Club. Our DJ YuiMetal was already there when we came at 4pm from the Club Room to the Sunshine Realm, and also the first Sunshine Girls and guests were waiting for us. The "Trails End Music Hall" Club is not only the largest of our venues, it also creates each time a unique atmosphere. Also the garden around it with all its noises invites you to stay and dream.
After the successful start of our fitness center last Friday (2/22/2019), we wanted to get fit for this weekend too. So we went back to the new Sunshine Gym to workout and celebrate 2 hours with our friends and guests. The success of the workout only comes after a few days. So, was the theme "let's get fit for spring together". March 1st is the beginning of spring.
