Holi Celebration and Welcome back Spring (upd)

Holi Celebration and Welcome back Spring

Finally spring is back and almost at the same time the Holi festival is celebrated in India. This is often called the "Festival of Love". Which theme could be better to the Sunshine Realm than a variety of colors, different nationalities and cultures, and the love that unites everything? SecondLife is an open world without borders, and also our Sim, the Sunshine Realm, stands for tolerance and openness. Every week more than 100 guests visit our 3 weekly events with constantly changing themes and decorations. So we are happy to celebrate this day together with so many Hindus at tthe whole world.

The vibrancy of colors is something that brings a lot of positivity into our lives, and Holi, the festival of colors, was a day worth celebrating. Holi is a famous Hindu festival that is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in every part of India. The ritual begins with lighting the campfire one day before the holiday, and this process symbolizes the triumph of good over bad. On the day of Holi the people play with their friends and families with colors and in the evening they show love and respect to their loved ones with Abeer. So also our guests and friends were called to play with colours.

And we have already celebrated Valentine's Day with our event "Heart On Fire" on our Mount Olympus and the new temple, and then returned to the "Garden of the Gods" to dedicate a day to Greek and Roman history and mythology. So we will also go here to welcome spring in the northern hemisphere, and at the same time celebrate the festival of colors and love. We added some Hindu decorations and colorful lights and moved the greek decorations down to the basement in the mount.

We moved from the Club Room to the Sunshine Realm and after some small corrections the event could start. DJ Polpeta opened the evening at 4pm with a set of calm music, which matched with the themes spring celebration and Holi Festival. Polpeta entertained us for 2 hours with this and time went by way too fast.

Maybe it was the challenge, maybe it was something else. We were a little less people than expected. There were about 35 guests that evening, but everyone had a lot of fun. The actual crowd is also growing, and we are really happy about that. So everyone danced, one as a group, many also as a couple. And we had fun, laughed a lot.

And of course we organized another contest. We loaded the board with 1,000 L$ and started it in split mode. The voting went better than yesterday, SecondLife seems to have recovered. At the end there were 21 votes.

Then we went to the after-party. DJ Yuimetal took over the entertainment. She had an anniversary event with her "baby metal" tribute group before, and had swapped with Polpeta. She played typical Bollywood music and took us with her on a trip to India. It was also a wonderful set.

And it wouldn't be a party in the Sunshine Realm if we hadn't shown our joie de vivre and shown more and more skin. So there was a lot to see at the end. It was a wonderful evening, a successful event with a theme that was really close to our hearts.

And of course there is also an album with picturesYou should take a look inside to see how wonderful this event was. If you've become curious, come and visit one of our events. Here's the landmark in the grid. The next good chance is already on Tuesday to our "Fire - Air - Water - Earth" event.
