Dance in the Barn

The last event in August was again a Country Night. We wanted to "dance in the barn" together with our friends and hopefully many many guests. In the past it was the Country Nights that were well attended. We love our big barn and love it to come back to this amazing venue. So we will finishing the August with a Square Dance together. As I talked with Misty about this, she asked for a German Translation of "Square Dance". We have some words without translation, we call it americanism. So we say normally Square Dance too. But some, mostly older people (white unhappy older men) call it "Scheunentanz" ... you can translate it back as "Dance in the Barn". And so we are back to an old kind of our events. 

Actually it always seemed to be a topic that most of our guests especially like. And then it is also the place, the special and unigue "Trails End Music Hall" with its history as own club in 2016 and the revive here in the Sunshine Realm. August is also the end of summer and we wanted to end it where we started the summer season with a Country Night on July 2nd, we met again at the Trails End Music Hall Club.  And there's something else these two events have in common, the one took place 2 days before the 4th of July holiday, and today it was 2 days before Laborday, another holiday in the USA and a long weekend for our american friends. And since two of our Sunshine Girls had their birthday today, we pre-tied it with a little birthday party and prepared everything. Congratulations to Miumiu and Chloe. All the best for both of you in the coming year and everything that wishes you here.

I was at a Doro Pesch Tribute concert with Odette before and almost forgot the time. So we didn't have much time both to change our clothes. Ichanged  quickly my rocker clothes for the country look, then it started. It quickly got fuller quickly, and because it was the last evening, we started the contest with 1,250 L$ (S) instead the usual 1,000 L$. DJ Yuimetal had put together an amazing set with country music, and entertained us very well. So the time flew very fast again.

As it slowly filled up, and more than 30 people were registered in the Contets, we increased the jackpot again to 1,500 L$. The Sim ran very evenly, we had hardly any lag and there weren't those extreme loading times of textures, which always annoyed us during the last day, especially when taking pictures you had to look twice, so that no grey males (and females) are in the picture. Today it really worked better again. DJ Yumetal played in set of wonderful country music and the time passed very fast again.

Then there were more than 50 people in the barn again. With that we had made it. We breathed a sigh of relief. At the end the top was 53 persons, and more than 60 guests visited the event tonight. A good result, and with that we ended August. We are now looking forward to the colourful autumn season with some highlights. The voting worked very well and at the end the jackpot of 1,500 L$ was divided among the 41 votes.

We said goodbye to our guests. One month and summer 2019 are behind us. Of course we invited everyone to the upcoming events. And September starts with a big hit, Car Wash, good handwork, on the street in front of Sunshiner's Pub. 

Of course there was an after-party again. We switched to the stream of DJ Polpeta and she entertained us for the next 2 hours. Most of the guests come for the main event, so the round is always a bit smaller. And of course most of the Sunshine Girls are now pulling bare and we danced together. So we had a lot of fun. And also Polpeta had put together the best country music for us. So also this time flew by.

And so I close my diary this month. It was a nice month. A little melancholy is that the summer is now coming to an end. But also looking forward to many beautiful events next month, and the colorful beauty of fall time in both worlds. This time can also be found in Secondlife. And not only to experience all this, to run the this beautiful sim together with Misty, to create it and to prepare new interesting events. It is not always easy, it takes a lot of time, and also costs for new things. And some disappointments when an event doesn't work as we planned it, or when everything is taken for granted by many. Because only in the eyes of our friends and guests can we see whether we have succeeded. But in the sum of everything it is a dream, as SecondLife is built from dreams and fantasies, some dreams also become true. It's worth every minute. One such dream is the Sunshine Realm. And everyone is invited, can visit us and experience it. And together with our friends we live this dream.
