Dark Magic

The Realm of Shades is our Counter-Earth. We built it in January for the Super Blood Wolf Moon. This was supposed to build a special weekend, so the old gothic church ruin with the cemetery and the surrounding swamp was built. There the events took place around the blood moon (Darkness under the Moon, Enchantment under the Moon, Behind the Moon), and actually we wanted to give up the area afterwards again. I had even written the short story "Awaken in the Swamp" and made pictures for this. Later I continued these with "Enchantment under the Moon".The Realm of Shades has fascinated us. We fell in love with our Realm of Shades. It has something special, everyone who has been there before will confirm it. 

So we took away the swamp later, but kept the core area. We also came here for some parties, the last one being Walpurgis Night. Then the summer came and our shadow world fell into oblivion.  

We had long intended to return to the Realm of Shades, our Counter Earth. The Realm of Shades is something special, maybe the black diamond in our Sunshine Realm. There is a very special atmosphere here. And this is exactly what we want for this event. 

My first thought for this event was "Children of Darkness". The group Mono Inc, which I know from the past, has released the new album, and on this album also the title of the same name. And even if you can't imagine it, I've been a goth for a few years. And so this should be first and foremost a Goth Night, enriched with black magic, vampires and demons. We asked our guests "Are you also a child of darkness?" And invited them to join us for this dark and special event in the old gothic church ruin tonight.  After a long  break we went in the Realm of Shades again.

We built another landing place with a small forest in front of the castle gates to the inner courtyard in front of the church ruin and decorated some things in the church. So we added an altar, some church benches and a sacrificial stone. Whenever everything is prepared, we can only wait and the excitement increases. What our friends will say, they would like the prepared place. And the theme? How would the guests come? We would see it. 

And then there's the clothes we all have to find together. That's what makes a big part of the anticipation. Shopping and combining existing things. Especially with this topic we can all make a radical type change, that's the spirit that connects with the Goth attitude to life. It's just a bit more than just being dressed in black. Now everything was really prepared and we could only wait until the DJ and some later the first branches would come. And of course we were curious to see what our friends had thought up and what they would wear.

And then it finally happened. When I arrived at the Realm of Shades a little before 4pm, the first ones were already there. Also DJ Yuimetal was there and started with her set at 4pm and provided her stream. It was a good mix of gothic music and symphonic rock. And so much in front. She played a wonderful set tonight. Somehow this theme and Yuimetal seem to go well together. But the party was open and already after 10 minutes we knew that it would be a very special evening.

And then it finally happened. When I arrived at the Realm of Shades a little before 4pm, the first ones were already there. As always we had started our contest with 1,000 L$ and we usually increase it when 5 pages are filled on the board and the 6th page appears (more than 30 participants). We already knew after 30 minutes that we would pay more L$ into the contest today. And the people came with wonderful outfits. ok, some got their Halloween costumes out of the closet, but most really showed a lot of creativity. And some of them especially. All the present Sunshine Girls were prepared and we can be really proud of this development. And also with the guests it slowly comes that we don't want to see jeans at a medieval event, and are sure that Viking women didn't wear tight mini skirts. But back to the event, after 45 minutes we were already at a jackpot of 1,250 L$.

But we really hadn't gotten to the end yet. An anonymous donation enabled us to raise the jackpot to 1,750 L$. And there were even more guests. It got really full in our old church ruin. And we have thanks to a new club in the sim that also uses bots to raise its traffic, again with more lag to fight. So it was a bit more difficult today. And unfortunately some guests left us because it was too Laggy for them. But we are experienced enough not to let it destroy an event. We exceeded the 50 visitors. Then there were even 52 together in the Sim, and we counted more than 60 visitors. Another donation, this time from Travi and Skye, allowed us to round off the jackpot and replenish it to 2,000 L$.

And the voting was also surprisingly quiet. Most of them held back and I only had to intervene once because one of our known suspects started clicking on the board again. But that was also solved and 40 of the 43 participants voted. So we could finish the event and send everyone home. Of course not without pointing out the next events in the Club Room and the Sunshine Realm. It was a very nice event with many guests, who were all somehow in the topic. It was finally time for the after-party.

DJ Polpeta hadn't logged in today. We have very much that everything is fine with theirs. But Yuimetal agreed at short notice to step in and play for 1.5 hours more. She even increased her very good set and entertained us wonderfully. Of course some of us stayed together and we danced. And as always at the after-party the covers fell. We danced topless and the Little Lorica was allowed to come out again. It was really a nice time together with friends.

It was nice to be at the Realm of Shades again. We were happy, but at the end a bit thoughtful. The Sunshine Realm has some very nice event places, and there is always something new to it. Sometimes there is no time. We will come back to the Realm of Shades. And Halloween isn't that far. No, oh God. We'll be here sooner, we won't wait that long. The next 2 hours have gone by and it was time to say goodbye. Some had to go to bed, others disappeared to snuggle up. One week at the Sunshine Realm found a very good end.
