Tribute Reeperbahn Festival 2019

We celebrated music, art and creativity by honoring the International Reeperbahn Festival tonight. Since 2006 the Reeperbahn Festival has brought Music, art and culture together with a focus on social issues and positive change. The festival features new music film and art from around the world. It was reason enough for us to tribute this festival and bring it to the Sunshine Realm.

We asked our Guests and friends to join us at our outdoor venue for this celebration of music and culture. Misty peeked at the weather forecast and it calls for rain that day. So we asked guests to come prepared for a cloudy raining day.

We built a new place for the Octoberfest for this year and opened it with this event a bit earlier. We used the place for the Woodstock anniversary with the big stage and a farm at the backend for this. And tonight started we here with a rainy event and will continue in october with the first of our Octoberfest Events. Octoberfest events have a long tradition in our clubs and we look forward to meet you this year at one of our special events.

But back to the event tonight. We were again curious about the reaction and outfits of our friends. 

And to make things a little more complicated, we published a weather report. We had an open-air event and we expected heavy rain. One should already prepare oneself there. And so many of our guests also came in rubber boots and with umbrellas. Others got very wet, because it was still warm enough. Was it really that? That depends very much on the personal condition and where in the world we are at the moment. While it is getting colder and darker for me and probably most of us, our friends in the southern hemisphere are looking forward to the upcoming spring.

We came a few minutes earlier to the Sunshine Realm and then started the event punctually at 4pm. DJ Yuimetal provided us again with their music stream and entertained us with suitable music. And our friends and guests came, many with wonderful costumes. Of course it is only important for some of the Constest hunters to somehow fit into the theme, so you put on a guitar at a music festival. But in the end they are all just extras that complete the picture and help to create an unforgettable evening. And also this is once again a success. Of course it also rained heavily a few times. Time flew by and it became fuller and fuller.

At the end more than 60 guests should have come to our event. And by coming and going we reached shortly before the end of the main event the top of 53 people on our fairground. So it was a successful evening for us and most of them had fun together. Of course we had started our contestboard again with a jackpot of 1,000 L$. We could raise the jackpot then by a donation of Phil on 2,000 L$ and with it went it then into the vote.

The people we had excluded the night before had not come today. Maybe they are angry with us, and since they mostly come in the pack, we could have had more visitors tonight. But so we had hardly any problems during the contest and the voting went smoothly and well. So 42 people voted at the end and we were able to finish our main event with the daily announcements and say goodbye to many of our guests.

Then the after-party started, some clothes were taken off again. DJ Polpeta took over the entertainment and played a German Rock Mix. After all, the eponym of the festival was the Reeperbahn, a famous (and infamous) street in Hamburg, a city in the north of Germany. And the Scorpians and Doro Pesch are now also export hits and many of the songs are sung in English. So this part went away and around 8:30pm most of them either went to bed or did it now.
