Snowball Fight

It was time for a snowball fight today. We invited our friends and guests and asked them to put on their boots, hats, scarfs and mittens and come with us to the open landscape between the docks and the frozen pond in our Winterland. Many people don't see that we don't just build single venues, but mostly complete landscapes. So some were surprised that we have a smaller frozen pond near the docks. So we decided to use these areas as well, as we did in summer with our Camp Sunshine.

This event was also a part of our 1.000 members week. We wanted to celebrate with our guests that we now have more than 1.000 members in our Sunshine Rocker group. Therefore we filled the jackpot with 1,500 L$ today. But already at the beginning we got a donation from a friend and could increase the jackpot to 2,000 L$. We still missing DJ Valantine and nobody of us know what happen. But all of us sent thoughts and prayers to her. DJ Polpeta took over the entertainment today again. We all were looking forward to a nice evening.

The first guests arrived before 4pm and we started the party right on time. DJ Polpeta had put together a good set and entertained us very well. Everyone was surprised about the new place where we celebrated, but also impressed. We are really very happy to introduce our sim this way more to our guests. So it became a very successful event.

Of course we wanted to continue the success of the first events in 2020. And it became fuller quickly today as well. Fortunately there is enough space in the landscape and so everybody had space. Some came with summer clothes and other with old bright facelights. But we sorted it out and all were happy at the end. Today there were again more than 80 guests at our party and at the end of the contest we were almost 70 people (68) in the winter landscape in our Winterland. 

So this event was again one of the hotspots in Secondlife this evening. Because we are in an adult sim, we are unfortunately not shown by SecondLifes Destinations as such. But even without this help we managed to fill our sim. This was certainly possible because of our 1,000 members, and the recommendations, which always bring new guests to us.

So the number of group members has also increased today. We started today with 1,018, at the end it was already 1,024. Of course we will lose some of the members after this week again, that is normal in Secondlife. The number of groups an avatar can have is limited. And since our group doesn't charge a fee, some people change groups to be able to participate in many contests. But we hope that we have now permanently "jumped" over the 1,000 barrier.

I already wrote that we had a L$2,000 jackpot in the contest today. And that we were on the sim with almost 70 people. Unfortunately we are still struggling with performance problems since we have this new neighbor. These have already shown up during the events. When we started the voting the latency of the board was between 3 and 5 seconds. If everyone would stay reasonable and click the board only once, a tuning should still work out well. And so it was. Everyone behaved reasonably and we were able to finish the contest on time. In the end 61 people voted.

Then we said goodbye to the guests. Of course we invited everyone to come to our "Pastel Formal" Event tomorrow, where we will officially end our 1,000 member week in a Grand Formal Ball.

Also today we reached with 9,352 again a sensational traffic value. Just to compare, many 24/7 clubs are happy when they reach 6,000 this days and we only had a 2 hour event with the following After-Party.

That's the keyword, after-party. Also today we took the opportunity and took off our winter clothes and at least partly swapped them for lingerie or danced topless. It was a nice end of the evening and for many of us surely the most important part. I wrote it often before, in many clubs you have to pay to experience this, here you are just invited to visit us. Of course you can also arrange more dates with many of the Sunshine Girls, but that is then your business and that of the Sunshine Girl.
