English Invasion of 60s

Today again a new sign hung over the door of the Sunshiner's Pub. As often when we travel back in time. Today we went to the City of Liverpool. And our pub became English, maybe it was really standing in "Penny Lane" tonight. Who of you don't know the song "Penny Lane" of Beatles? Everyone who came through the door into our pub today joined us on our time travel. It led us together with our friends and guests to Liverpool in the 60's, when the British invasion was supposed to change music and culture. Who would have believed that?

Ok, enough theorie. We started with our English Invasion today. And because the idea came from Ruby, and Yezika and Ruby entertained us tonight, it was a special well prepared night with an amazing set of music of the British Invasion. And Yezika is good for amazing events each time. 

We had everything ready again on Monday. So there wasn't much to do today. It was a quiet evening, I wasn't really in the mood to explore new Sims or roleplaying games. So I had enough time to put together a suitable outfit.  Once again it wasn't that easy, and only a few pictures show women. What did women wear back then? So I tried to make something out of what was there. What distinguishes the Beatles and Rolling Stones from the American stars of the late 50s? They looked tidier, the felt heads were omitted. Suits and ties, so more formal. The dresses were cut narrower, and not necessarily monochrome. I can only hope it's enough for a time travel to the 60s to follow the traces of the British invasion.

It was an interesting topic, but it could also be difficult for the guests. I was at the Sunshine Realm long before the start. Bic came first and we talked and laughed. Where did the guests stay? Would many come at all? Only 4:55pm came the first, and at 5pm came Yezika and opened her set. She had picked out some nice songs from the time of the British Invasion. And also Ruby and Vanny were there. And then it was slowly getting fuller. All worries before were in vain and quickly forgotten, the pub I filled with a crowd of people and most had chosen wonderful outfits matching the theme. It is one of the wonderful possibilities that we can slip into different roles and travel through time. 

And that's the Sunshine Realm and the Sunshine Family. Our friends who accept every challenge, no matter how crazy, and always explore new topics with us. And that's much more than just finding an outfit and putting it on. And this happens again tonight in our Sunshiner's Pub.

We also had another contest and opened it with 1,000 L$ in the jackpot. That's the amount we didn't lose, because in the end there were only 25 people registered. Of course we change the number of participants with the jackpot. But we also have some requirements. I had written something about contests and rules in our sim, because there are always discussions from one side or the other. Are we entitled to only allow people with mesh bodies? Yes, there are also free or cheap mesh bodies, and a lot of clothing for them. But are we entitled to it? Or would it be the same if we only let pretty people in the RL into a club. Who decides that? I won't, I'm proud to live in a free world, and I don't want it any different here in SL. Do we know that some of the people who come with the classical bodies come with some ALTs? But we can't say for sure either. Of course we want more loyalty. That people don't just come because there's a big jackpot again. That they don't shy away from the effort and love to go to another club where they are only asked for blue or red dresses. But we will not judge here as long as the rules are followed and everyone shows a minimum of behaviour. Well, today it stayed at L$1,000, and of the 25 participants in the contest, 21 voted.

So we were able to say goodbye to our guests on time. Of course we invited everyone to the parties on Friday and Saturday. And we also invited them to our After-Party. But most of them left us at 7:30pm and it got empty. But that didn't stop us from staying together for a few more minutes. Because an after-party is something special.

But it's also only 30 minutes on Tuesday. Many are tired during the week, have to work the next day or it is time for dinner. So we danced a little bit. Of course we changed tightly cut mini dresses of the 60s for lingerie and danced topless. That's also the Sunshine Realm. It's exciting, funny and naughty. Oh, I forgot sexy, seductively and lasciviously. You should join us once and celebrate with us when it's "time for after-party" again.
