One Love - Reggae Night

One Love - Reggae Night

Reggae is a style of popular music that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s and quickly emerged as the country's dominant music. By the 1970s it had become an international style that was particularly popular in Britain, the United States, and Africa. It was widely perceived as a voice of the oppressed. Reggae has spread to many countries across the world, often incorporating local instruments and fusing with other genres. Today we  celebrated the Island sounds of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Sean Paul. We asked our friends and guests to put on Tie Die tops and Jamaican colors (Red, Green and Yellow)  and to come to the Sunshiner's Pub to celebrate with us.

Now it is December and we have also in the last month of this year a full diary. With this event we started into December. Therefore we decorated the Sunshiner's Pub for a reggae party and waited for the guests. DJ Yezika had prepared very well again and put together a wonderful set around reggae music. So it was an awesome night from the first moment that we could spend with our friends and guests.

We had prepared us too. Many of us came with headbands and dreadlocks. Its amazing how Secondlife made a development and that so many vendors creating such amazing stuff.

Now we often have fewer guests on Tuesdays. So it was also today. Even before we started we had noticed that the number in the Sunshine Rocker group had decreased. After we had 1,000 members at the end of last month, it was now only 990. And this trend should continue with the visitors. So there are only 30 guests today and 28 of them were together in the pub.

With so few guests we had also only 1,000 L$ in the Contest. And the voting worked without any problems. So we could finish the event on time. We said goodbye to the guests.

And also on Tuesday we didn't let the after-party be taken so completely. Of course, some of us have again barely pulled. And today we danced together topless a few minutes longer. So a nice evening ended.

There is also today again an album at Google Images with many pictures and impressions of this colourful and funny night.
