ALTs on our Events
It is a constant topic and repeats itself again and again. And it is a constant cause for discussion with guests. We want active guests who participate in our events to really want to listen to music. I think that is a matter of course. But I have already written it. Privacy is an important personal right in the USA and Germany. And I think it's the same in most countries where our friends come from. So fortunately it is not possible for us and also not allowed to check the IP addresses of our visitors. So we don't know who uses ALTs and who doesn't. Of course we also make observations and have theories. And I'm also convinced that there are ALT farmers with tons of ALTs who jump from event to event but park their avatars but don't participate in the action. We call them zombies or contest junkies. But it's not up to us to judge and even less to listen to the constant GOSSIP in SecondLife and therefore judge guests.I have add this text to the Rules for Events at Sunshine Realm too.
Everyone is welcome, and if someone has such a poor SecondLife without friends, or wants to gain advantages, I just feel sorry for the person behind it. There he should go fishing better, or pursue a first-class activity. But it is not our decision what someone does with his SecondLife. What are we doing to make it more difficult for these ALT farmers? We always have new and sometimes unusual and complicated topics and expect suitable outfits from all guests. People who are not prepared and don't have outfits that match the theme will be contacted and later ejected. There is also the blogpost "some about our events". So if an ALT farmer wants to participate, he is like an extra and contributes to the atmosphere in the club. Then the profit in the contest is a low wage. We run our contests in split mode and reduce the risk that an ALT farmer will win again and again and nothing remains for the others.
We expect everyone to abide by these rules and behave accordingly. Not running into other people, not penetrating into the personal distance of another person and not harassing other guests. We hope for active participation in the event. We expect that people we write to about problems will also respond promptly and will not be AFK for long. Should this happen we will reject them from the Sunshine Realm. And we expect that when voting the rules will be followed and only once clicked on the board. Here we eject people we don't know who clicks multiple times when we can find them and the person who clicks gets them.
Any person who adheres to it is welcome at the Sunshine Realm!
It's also used against us every now and then. That here are only ALTs and not lost. This is also GOSSIP and an insinuation and mostly comes from people who are at odds with us. Or from people who know people who are locked with us. Or simply also ALTs are. The vast majority of our visitors are active and actively participate in our events. We have known many of them for a long time. So we can deal well with the ALT farmers on the one hand and the slanderers on the other.
We hope to end these discussions here.
