Post Celebration of 1th of May

Post Celebration of 1th of May (May Day, Labourday)

In many countries, Labourday is celebrated on 1 May each year. Since we are in a borderless world, reason enough for us to celebrate this at the Sunshine Realm. Many members of the Sunshine family come from Europe, for example from France, Italy, Croatia and Germany, others from South America, here Argentina, Brazil or the Dominican Republic. In most of these countries, May Day is a national holiday.

May Day is often celebrated on the streets. Be it as a parade or street party. We went to the street in front of the Sunshiner's Pub to celebrate. We came at 4pm to the Sunshine Realm, DJ Valantine entertained us like usual very well with rocking tunes. And the first guests came early too. The pre conditions for a good event were very well and it could be get one of the funny events.

I could now write that we had about 45 guests again, 39 of whom were together in the street at the end, and most of them had dressed following the event. We had a contest that went amazingly well, most of the Fridays are rather complicated in SL. So 29 participants voted in the contest in really short time, and we could pay out the winnings without any problems. And of course there was the after-party again and we all had fun together. Here we talked about future events.

And like usual are more pictures of this event in a Google Images Album, maybe you want explore them.

But today, unfortunately, there is also another topic, and this has overshadowed the day. It's no secret that in SecondLife many use a second or third or ... avatar to gain advantages.

Now it is no secret that we can attract ALTs through these contests, nor can we control them. Privacy is of great value in Western countries and so it is in SecondLife. As long as these guests choose clothes according to the theme, don't stand in the way but dance, and don't run into other groups or people, it's ok for us. What would be the alternative? We would exclude people, and that out of suspicion. Because we cannot check it according to the rules of SecondLife and Linden Lab. And if this causes damage, then at most we ourselves. And we would be happy if these guests also take part in the open conversation, celebrate with us, and listen to music. Many of them will probably not even sit at the keyboard while waiting for the vote.

Of course, this is always the reason for criticism, and this usually comes from the underhand anonymity. So also yesterday again, with the assertion here would be only sick ALTs and and bad persons, and we as owners would support this "putridity". Criticism would be a way to improve something. So we are open to any form of constructive criticism. Only this presupposes an open discussion, and not a cowardly attack from ambush. We have solved the problem, and the troublemaker banished. But the group is open, we also want to remain open. And we don't want to charge any fees or exclude people on suspicion. So in the future we will live with the fact that there are disturbers every now and then. And if you read my reviews of the last month, we are at a really good way. We can only respecting that not all people happy about this and are jealousy.

But the trigger was a different one. A former dancer claimed that I would humiliate her because of her nationality, and published parts of a private conversation in local chat and in group chat. A clear violation of the TOS, and I think everyone who knows me also knows that I am far from condemning or excluding anyone for nationality.

This dancer had tried to join the staff group with ALTs and brought ALTs as a guest to get an extra L$ in the contest. And the rules for dancers are different. Here we need honesty, respect and trust. She tried to manipulate us and lied to us several times, and came with ALTs. She had approached guests so that they would vote for her, and some other things a dancer wouldn't do.  When we confronted her with her misconduct, she became abusive and insulting. She was spellbound by it. She had probably deactivated one of her avatars and then had it reactivated via Linden Lab, so the groups were restored as well, but the bans were not.  And we couldn't delete it because it wasn't displayed. She is a typical gamer and knows how SecondLife works and how to trick others. Also yesterday she wanted to show me again how easy it is to unblock someone to call me Noob.  Well, that's probably her way in SL, and some things just repeat themselves after all.  And I didn't block them, I banished them from the country and groups.

In any case, this problem has also been solved. One more. And there will be new problems. She has brought her own filth into the public eye to defame me. Sometimes it comes back as a boomerang. I'm sorry that so many were harassed with internal problems.
