Review 1st Burlesque Event

Our first Burlesque Event

Usually I rewrite the previous invitation in the report about it. Now I can also rewrite this blogpost "Burlesque".  But today I would like to open a new post. Why? On the one hand, the preparation for the Burlesque event was more complex than usual, and we were certainly mentally more connected. And certainly not only because our cute Odette loves this topic so much. 

A new venue at the Sunshine Realm has been created, and even if we had planned it only for this one, very special event, we will keep it at least for a short time. It is a beautiful ballroom and gives us a lot of possibilities. So we have already considered which events we can do here in the future, and we will also take up the burlesque theme again in the future.

Of course we were very excited. Even if you can't believe it, it's harder than most other themes to find a good burlesque outfit. There are some complete outfits, but do they fit? I decided to have my own collection of clothes from different designers. We also didn't know how the new venue would work.  Would the Windlight be good? The room was very bright. In any case, the new ballroom should be big enough. But how many people would come at all for this very special topic?

We arrived punctually at 4pm to the Sunshine Realm and opened the event. In the beginning it was quieter, but so we could have a look which outfits each of us had chosen. It was beautiful. DJ Valantine had put together a wonderful set of music that matched the burlesque theme and brought us all into the right mood. It was simply impressive. Thanks Valantine, you took us to another world that night. 

 Unfortunately, not all our friends could be there. Not only did we miss Phil, who had an appointment in RL, Lorica and Fiona were also missing, and Misty couldn't come until later. Alric only stopped by for a moment, and Bic couldn't stay all the time either. It is always very difficult to predict how many people will come, and the most important rule for all SecondLife residents is "RL first".  So some "friends" came, did have a look around and disappear without a greeting. It's not so different than when guests come and disappear when the contest is closed. But then more and more guests come and it slowly became fuller. And then Misty was there, too. It would be sad if she had missed the event. We both invested a lot of time together to build and prepare everything for our friends.

Of course there was an after-party again today. Most of the guests left us as usual after the main event, but some stayed and Valantine continued her set. And of course there was sexy lingerie and naked skin again, we moved closer together and talked, danced and laughed. So this evening came to a nice end, and we are all looking forward to the next event in our new ballroom and sometime another Burlesque night. At the end Joaquin came by and visited us. It would certainly be a wonderful event if he would sing in this hall, perhaps on a burlesque theme.
