Review of April

In recent months we have already looked back and taken stock. We want to look back at April in the same way. We had some very nice, partly funny and colourful, but also mystical and mysterious events. Again more than 600 visitors came to our events and we paid 18,750 L$ over the contests to our guests and friends. There were 398 votes. We had some new event formats and changed some in the Sunshine Realm in April. The count of members in our group reached 850 at end of april.

We started the month with our Country Night on the 2nd of April at the Trails End Music Hall. In addition there were two events at the new Caribbean beach, our Hawaiian Luau was colorful, and one week later we had the beach ready for our Surf's Up event. The new beach is really romantic and also a nice backdrop for photos. 

Of course we also celebrated Passover at the Sunshine Realm and went on the Easter egg hunt together. Our big concern is the world-spreading friendship and openness, the respect for cultures and religions and that we should learn from each other instead of demanding new walls. So the Sunshine Realm is not only a German-American friendship, we come from many countries, France, Italy, Germany, Croatia, USA, Argentina, Guatemala, Brazillien and many more.

Another highlight was our April Shower Event. We went into the garden here, and it wasn't just rubber boots and rain jacket, or the umbrella. Partly it really rained, and in the new garden it was a wonderful event. Here we have the largest number of guests with 60 people who were in the garden at the same time. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to be more interesting for the guests. This number of visitors is especially remarkable because the events on Tuesdays are usually a little less visited.

We also had three historical or mythical events, so we redesigned the Realm of Shades a bit and created a new Viking settlement. There we celebrated with "The girls of Hedeby" a wonderful event, which has continued the Iron Age and the Vikings. 

Here we also celebrated our GoT special later on, also a success, and even the dragons weren't missing. The end of the month was our "Walpurgis Night" in the church ruin in the Realm of Shades, which belongs with the other two events in the mythical corner.

Since in April was also the Tartan day, the "Gaelic Heritage Day" there were also many red-haired in the Sunshine Realm. And many plaid clothes. It was a wonderful day and we celebrated the many Scottish traditions in the world. 

Even though it wasn't so well attended, we had a new idea with our construction workers event. And not only the scaffolding and heavy construction machines were impressive. We could also see many sexy construction workers and craftsmen in the Sunshine Realm.

We are looking forward to May and hope to inspire again many guests for our events. I hope that many of our friends will accept the new challenges and continue to come with imaginative and creative outfits, and help us to create new wonderful events and to carry them out successfully. The Sunhine Family at the Sunshine Realm is fresh and creative, we have fun together and are looking forward to many visitors. And as in any family, there are problems, but we solve them together. Because we all love this place.

We will have some new events formats, and will use some well-knowed places and formats as well.

And April is my Rezday too. Also this cannot be missing in a review. Thank you for all your congratulations and good words.  It's nice to know that I have real friends in a virtual world and that this friendship also means something. I really had tears in my eyes when my friends had organized a surprise party for me. With many surprises, I even had a stripper and fireworks, and the live performance of Joaquin Gustav. Thank you, everyone involved, and thank you to everyone who was there. Not only did you give me a big surprise, you also made me very happy. Thank you all.
