Back to the 80's night

After the last time journeys to the dinosaurs,  the excursion to the pirates of the Caribbean and our journey to the time of prohibition we wanted to make today again a journey through time, back to the 80s. It was a shrill and colourful time, and we already had a lot of fun in the run-up, when we prepared the Sunshiner's Pub, or put together our own outfit. And we knew from many of our friends that they were just as enthusiastic and excited. We were curious about what to expect this evening.

I think some will forget it, or wasn't part of the Sunshine Family 2017. But we had a 80s event in the Warehouse about the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. It was the 2nd event at this place, we started there with a Grunge Party. And the Warehouse is back in the Sunshine Realm too. We have placed the Sunshine Gym in it. 

But back to the present. We had prepared the Sunshiner's Pub, everything was more colorful and stobo lights provided the right atmosphere. So we could only wait, and hope that the event would inspire our friends and guests just as much, and many visitors would come in fancy costumes. When I arrived at the Sunshine Realm 15 minutes before the start, the first visitors were already there. And even though I had some problems and had to log in again, it promised to be a nice event.

Then it was 5pm and Yezika came with Ruby and Vanny and the event could start on time. And Yezika had prepared a set with music from that time, and there was an open conversation in the local chat. So from the beginning it was a very good event and more and more guests came. It was interesting, what everybody connected with the topic, for many surely memories, others had watched like me probably many videos from the time. 

So also my outfit was inspired by a Nena video. I had also found black and white striped trousers, but unfortunately they did not really fit the Maitreya body and top. I also added a Walkman. 

That evening we had almost 50 visitors in the Sim and in the end 40 were together in Sunshiner's Pub. Many had put on colorful clothes, selected fuzzy hair and accessories. So it was a wonderful evening. I took out the trivia ball and we played two rounds. The first quiz round around the music of the 80s, the second round around TV shows from that time. And of course we had started another contest with 1,000 L$ in splitmode. It worked very well and in the end 25 votes were counted. Unfortunately 4 of the participants had left us shortly before.

And the Sunshine Realm, these are also the after-parties with a lot of naked skin and fun. So we stayed together this time and had a lot of fun. The following pictures might say more than anything I can write about it. 

Maybe you'd like to come over sometime and celebrate with us. Of course we are in a virtual world, the avatars are pixels. And many guests might just come for the contest. But the core of the Sunshine Family and many of our friends are connected through real friendships. And you can feel that when you visit us once.
