Review of the May
Another successful month lies behind us. And it's time to look back. However, there have been some problems this month that we have solved finally. These have brought us even closer together and have cleared up the two groups.
And yet, or perhaps because of that, a very successful month lies behind us. But let's look back together.
We have celebrated Cinco de Mayo again, have used proven formats, but have also tried out new ideas. We had two sport events with the Motorsport Day and our Baseball Day.
We went back to the golden age with our Burlesque Night, and have a new event place, which we will use again in June. It was a lot of fun to prepare this new course and to go back in time. Many of us were burlesque dancers and all the guests filled this place with life.
Of course, we also visited the Caribbean beach several times, which we had completed in the previous month in the Sunshine Realm. So we used the "Learn to swim Day" for our swimming lessons and the National Don't Fry Day for our day of (healthy) tanning.
A special night was also our "Thank you Service Worker Day". Here we used the national waiter day as inspiration, but extended the theme to all service staff. Also here many people accepted our invitation and we had an interesting and beautiful evening in our Sunshiner's Pub.
Our "Literature Night" was also a very emotional event. Already during the preparation it was an interesting time. It is interesting how much SecondLife and friends here can influence us. How many similarities there are, but also how the differences can enrich us. So my outfit was not coincidental, since the novels between 1810 and 1850 were the first to give women independence, to see us not only as the "property" of men and to give priority to love.
And Memorial Day is also a firm tradition in our clubs. In a world without borders we should also stop on this important American holiday to remember those who gave their lives to build and defend this freedom. And even though different traditions have mixed again and again, a part of our liberal world today is founded here. So we celebrated this day together with our friends from the USA. And we were especially happy that we could win Joaquin Gustav for a live performance.
And we haven't forgotten Mother's Day this year either. Therefore we went together with our friends and guests to the Sunshine Garden and put on nice clothes. A formal dance night is always something especially beautiful.
This review shows how colourful the Sunshine Realm is. Only 590 guests visited us in May, slightly less than in the previous two months, but it is a good result. And of course SecondLife is also empty in the summer months on the northern hemisphere. With L$ 14,250 we also distributed less prize money in our contests. At the end of the month 869 people were in our Sunshine Rocker group. That's almost 20 new members, and here too the positive development continues. And this despite a cleanup of the groups last month. Without this cleanup we had reach the Visitor Count of the last both months easily.
