Actually, it was supposed to be a public party tonight. But Misty and I decided to cancel it and instead invite our friends to our private sim, the Moonlight Pier. So we quickly together our guest list and invited our friends.

The highlight of this month. We went back to the Sunshine Temple to celebrate with this event our great Christmas Gala Night. And it was the last official public event in 2019 too. Our end-of-year celebration. And its formal again and was a dream in gold or silver. It was  a strict formal event, we expected evening attire. And it should be gold & silver.

The holidays can be a stressful time. And maybe you have enough of the serious and contemplative Christmas celebrations. And it seems like there is a never-ending list of invites to sort through for the entire month. And this in real life and SecondLife. We can't help you in real life, but we can try it here in SecondLife. We invited our friends, group members and guests to break this stressful cycle for a little Christmas fun. We celebrated our naughty Ugly Holiday Sweater Party.

Christmas is so wonderful. And if you see the wide open and bright eyes of children with mirroring of sparkling lights and candles in it, the Miracle of Christmas and Santa Claus come be true. Here in Germany it is the evening of 24th, the Holy Night where children gets the gifts. And parents visiting the church in the night for a very special Christmas Mass. The night where Jesus Christ born. In the USA its the morning of 25th and Santa Claus came in the night and brought the gifts.  We have already hang our stocking at the fireplace last week, so we returned for this special event to the Sunshiner's Pub tonight to follow the imagination of the Christmas morning, if we ran down the stairs to the living room only worn the pajama and socks and Santa Claus was there in the night before  and brought the gifts. This is a magical moment and we wanted repeat this.

So far we have started the Christmas season rather cautiously. First we opened the Christmas market, then our new winterland and finally we went to the fireplace to hang up our stockings in the Sunshiner's Pub. But it was always rather festive. But the Advent season is a colourful and exciting time and that's why our event today it's called "Santa's Helper Party" today.  Now it was finally time to put out special Xmas Clothes. Our guests were invited to come as Santa or one of his little Helper to the Sunshine Realm. We went to the Christmas Market again and celebrated colorful that Christmas so close.

This was our 3rd pre-Christmas event. At first we opened the Christmas Market last Saturday with "Winter Wonderland" and celebrated together with our friends in our Christmas decorated Sunshiner's Pub on Tuesday at the event "Hang your stockings by the fire". Now we opened finally  the new Winterland 2019/2020 today. And a lot people came to to us on the frozen pond to have 2.5 hours fun with the Sunshine Family.

Now it was time to celebrate our first Advent event in the Sunshiner's Pub. Misty had found some nice textures again and decorated the pub for Christmas. And with the Christmas market on the street and the winter landscape around it, it is again a cosy place to relax. So we met with our friends and guests for the event "Hang your stockings by the fire" in the Sunshiner's Pub. And as the name already suggests, actually you could wear anything tonight, as long as you only came in socks.

Now it was finally time and we went with our friends and guests to the new Winterland 2019 / 2020. Our first Advent Event and all of us were very happy. We were at the Christmas market and celebrated together. There is a special atmosphere at our Christmas market. Since DJ Yuimetal was busy with a project of their Baby Metal tribute band, Polpeta and Yuimetal exchanged their shifts, and DJ Polpeta took over the entertainment for the main part of the evening event.

We're running late. We already had our "ice fishing" and the "Winter Penguin Formal" ball, but this year we haven't really started into winter yet. But now it's time. And as in the years before there will be a winterland again, and of course also a beautiful Christmas market.

Wow, now this event is over too. And it was really something very special again. The Realm of Shades was the perfect place for this theme and DJ Polpeta put together an amazing set to entertain us. And most of us had a lot of fun. I had already started to write about the preparation of the event and maybe some of you got an idea what an event here at the Sunshine Realm means. It starts with choosing the theme, then we choose the right place for it and develop an idea of what it should look like. Then we decorate the venue, write a teaser and later group notes. We add the event mostly to the SecondLife Scheduler. This is the first part. For our friends and guests it is then the choice of a suitable outfit. But this is also a part of our agenda, because after we have prepared the place, we also need a suitable outfit. And that can drag on for days and then change a few times. So the last decision is sometimes made just before an event.

Normally I always write a report about the events after we finished it. And before that all information is mostly on the blog page "Upcoming Events". Today it's different. I write a blog before an event about the preparations and some surprises. Tonight at 4pm we start again into a party weekend at the Sunshine Realm. And as a contrast to the pre-Christmas time and because today is Friday the 13th, it will be a slightly different event. Today it's time again for a night of nightmares. Our event today is "Nightmare before Christmas", before we go into the winter time and enjoy the advent season.

It's a little late this year. But now it's finally time, the winter is back at Sunshine Realm. And at least in Central Europe the winter hasn't arrived in the RL yet. But now it is finally here at the Sunshine Realm. And it will accompany some of our events for the next 3 months.

And again should our event today be a change from the pre-Christmas period. But I am pretty sure that some men thought  they're got their presents early or it was Christmas and Easter in one day. Today we went to the Playboy Mansion. And it was supposed to get really hot. Women were as sexy as it gets. They put on their sexiest lingerie and heels. Today was skin be shown. And some of us were sexy bunnies, then showed our little tails on our butts and the rabbit ears. Today we could, no no, we should make the men really hot. The air crackled. We were playboy bunny tonight.

ALTs on our Events

It is a constant topic and repeats itself again and again. And it is a constant cause for discussion with guests. We want active guests who participate in our events to really want to listen to music. I think that is a matter of course. But I have already written it. Privacy is an important personal right in the USA and Germany. And I think it's the same in most countries where our friends come from. So fortunately it is not possible for us and also not allowed to check the IP addresses of our visitors. So we don't know who uses ALTs and who doesn't. Of course we also make observations and have theories. And I'm also convinced that there are ALT farmers with tons of ALTs who jump from event to event but park their avatars but don't participate in the action. We call them zombies or contest junkies. But it's not up to us to judge and even less to listen to the constant GOSSIP in SecondLife and therefore judge guests.

As is the tradition of Sunshine Realm; we celebrate each month with a formal dance. Since this month is December and the start of the Christmas season I suspect several Formal dances this month. The first formal dance of December was today at our Sunshine Temple. We called this Formal dance "The Penguin Formal" What did that mean? Penguins are black and white they are also creatures of the snow and ice so our guests were invited to use that as inspiration to picking a formal attire. We couldn't wait to see our friends and guests tonight for this December Formal extravaganza. This was our 2nd winter event this season.

It's winter time in the the USA and most of Europe. Time to bundle up and stay indoors. Unless you're a member of the Sunshine Realm Group; instead of being indoors; we went go down to Sunshine Beach for a little ice fishing. We lighted a fire on the beach to keep us warm while we dance on the beach. We asked our guest, "If you're in the Polar Bear club feel free to come in a Bikini with a hat and boots. Otherwise bundle up in winter clothing and bring your fishing pole and come down to Sunshine Caribbean beach to celebrate with us." And many people should follow our invitation to this special event at the beach.

By the 1970s it had become an international style that was particularly popular in Britain, the United States, and Africa. It was widely perceived as a voice of the oppressed. Reggae has spread to many countries across the world, often incorporating local instruments and fusing with other genres. Today we  celebrated the Island sounds of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Sean Paul. We asked our friends and guests to put on Tie Die tops and Jamaican colors (Red, Green and Yellow)  and to come to the Sunshiner's Pub to celebrate with us.

We were all very happy when we received an invitation from Odette and Phil to a Thanksgiving concert and dinner. Both had lovingly prepared it, and many of our friends came to the Conner Winterland which we already got to know a few weeks ago. 

All were asked to choose a formal outfit to match the occasion, certainly something that many of us enjoyed. The men could say "suit with tie", for us women it was a wardrobe adventure. Who doesn't know that when we stand helplessly in front of the wardrobe and put one dress after the other on the bed and discard the idea.

Now the monthly review of the events in the Sunshine Realm belongs to this blog. And even though I'm a few days late, I'd like to take the opportunity to look back at the past month and perhaps remind some of the diverse and beautiful events we've had here. And even though November in my home country is rather damp and dark, and not really one of my favorites, we can look back on a very good month here in SecondLife. The conditions were not really favorable.

As already around the 4th of July we have searched again for special topics. And this week is an important holiday in den USA again. Back then we turned a whole week into an American Week. And we ended this week with a roller skate derby. What can we do this time? And we had a lot of different sports events, just as an example some football events and also our baseball event. We have already built some wonderful event locations, which you won't find in SecondLife for the second time and which often react to events. There was also a tennis court for the Wimbledon Women's Final and later the US Open and a soccer field for the World Cup.  

We decided to try something new. That's how we do our first basketball event. The idea for our Welcome NBA Event was born and Misty built an amazing court for this.

Thanksgiving is a beautiful tradition in our clubs. In 2016 we celebrated it in the old Trails End Music Hall Club (Google Images Album) and we celebrated Thanksgiving 2017 again in a specially decorated skybox with an autumn landscape over the Sunshine Cove Beach Club. We made a second event 2017 too, but with Harvest Celebration more common. And last year we had 2 wonderful days too where we celebrated here at Sunshine Realm in the newly opened Trails End Music Club. There was the event "Let's give Thanks together" (Google Images) and one day later our Naughty Thanksgiving (Google Images). 

Thanksgiving is always a special event. And even if we in Europe don't know this holiday at all. But I think we've all heard that even distant family members come home and it's a wonderful celebration in the family. And then it's also a chance to thank our American friends and to organize this day with them. And it is very important to cultivate and share such traditions here in SecondLife, and also to gather the family here. And that we all have a great day together. And that's exactly what we wanted this year and we invite not only our friends, but all members of the Sunshine Rocker Group, and anyone who wants to come by. Everyone is welcome when we "Give Thanks together" again in our Trails End Music Hall Club.

The harvest festival has many names and exists in most countries. In Germany we say "Erntedankfest" and in France its the "jour d'action de grâce". We celebrated it as harvest festival  some weeks before and invited all to come as native or settler  and we will be celebrating Thanksgiving soon, but before that we wanted go back to the origin of the festival and wanted to celebrate our Thanksgiving on the meadow in front of the Trails End Music Hall Club, our beautiful Camp Sunshine. 

And because we wanted a different event we chosen a special theme for this: natural spirits, faries, gnome, elfs, .... How could we better say Thank for a good harvest as to say thank to the nature and the spirits.

If you talk with most people who living in the northern hemisphere and ask them about the November they will say "Cold, Gray and Rain". Rain and November seems in a direct relationship. And there is this amazing song of Axl Rose and Guns of Roses. You remember "November Rain"? If I hear it i get goose bumps.  This song inspired us to organize this event, and we called it "Sweet November Rain".  

After the success of our rainy event "April Showers" will we went to the Sunshine Garden again. Its November and its rainy. But we met us in the Garden for a wonderful party and relaxing time together with friends.

After the success of our Casino Royal Event we tried it again. This event brought back us to the Casinos of Las Vegas and we wanted have fun with the colored set of Jazz and Blues with some romantic tunes. We chose again our Burlesque Palace for this. The place was prepared and DJ Valantine had prepared her special set for this night. We were ready to start.

Today again a new sign hung over the door of the Sunshiner's Pub. As often when we travel back in time. Today we went to the City of Liverpool. And our pub became English, maybe it was really standing in "Penny Lane" tonight. Who of you don't know the song "Penny Lane" of Beatles? Everyone who came through the door into our pub today joined us on our time travel. It led us together with our friends and guests to Liverpool in the 60's, when the British invasion was supposed to change music and culture. Who would have believed that?

Formal Night at Saturday Night! Yesss. This is the Sunshine Realm too. And you don't need a mask this night, to make a wonderful formal night. The theme was Black & White and Formal this time. All guests and friends were asked to find a matching outfit and to come to this special night up to our temple mount. We all looked forward for a wonderful night.

Once again it wass time for a class reunion. You don't know what we meant with that? The superheroes and other comic characters meet regularly and this time they came to us to the Sunshine Realm. We prepared the Trails End Music Hall Club and invited our friends and guests to a Comic Night. We asked our guests which one is them superhero or your comic hero.

Also Comic Nights are nothing new at the Sunshine Realm, so we looked forward to a new edition. DJ Valantine entertained us this night. And we were happy to come to the Trails End Music Hall Club again with an event.

We've been celebrating this day for many years. And especially after last week, when we celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was more important for me. Since our Sunshine Realm had a rest day on November 11th, we started our Veteran Day Event a day belated. We went to the Street again. The wall was now fallen and away and instead some military vehicles  were parked around the alcove. And yes, Misty was back after her long travel and it should get a wonderful event.

We did planned a very special event tonight. It should be the grand finale of our week for the 30th anniversary of Berlin Wall Fall and the peaceful revolution in the east part of Germany. And we had invited the amazing live singer Wolfie Starfire tonight to perform at this event. That's why we started one hour earlier and won the extra time. We started with DJ Yui and took Wolfie Starfire between the set of DJ Yui and DJ Polpeta, our regular DJs for Saturday events. For many Germans is the 9th of November a special day and maybe the secret national holiday here in Germany. And I wanted make an amazing event for this in SL too. We chose our Street with the Alcove in front of the Sunshiner's Pub again as venue for this event. Here stood our small Wall Memorial with some informations about the time of separation across Berlin. 

But let's look back a few years. On 9 th of November 1989 the impossible happened. As the USA president said some months before ... "Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall" nobody could believe that this really could be possible. But it came on this day to the termination of the separation of the two German states, and all this because thousands of people in many cities in Germany went on the street. Many people went in Churches and burned candles and prayed. Both states were on the front line of the Cold War and belonged to different military pacts. It was a peaceful revolution and ended a dictatorship, liberated half a people from a hostage situation, imprisoned behind this wall. It is possible and all this happened without weapons.

We celebrate the Berlin Wall Fall this week. The 8th of October 1989 was the day before the Wall fell. There were many demonstrations and vigils in churches 30 years ago. So we thought about an event with candles. But how can you turn vigils into an event idea? And at the end are our events parties and not vigils. Our event should be called "The Day before" first. 

But, than we had another idea for the event. Mikhail Gorbachev was in Berlin and his positive stance about the world was for many people visible. Even though the Soviet Union was responsible for the Wall. Now stood the government of the former GDR alone, the east part of Germany. How lucky we actually were. Than, who thinks about what could happened if everything else had happened that day? That the regimes weren't so weakened that it wasn't Putin but Gorbachev, and that Germany could be reunited peacefully.

That's why we shot the planned theme completely, and today it's "The Day after". What could have happened? We therefore invite you to an Apocalypse event in which civilization has perished and struggles to survive, as in the Mad Max Movies. We built the Wall and decorated the Street in front of the Sunshiner's Pub with burning cars and tires, and tank traps. DJ Valantine prepared a rocking set and all we needed were guests and friends which would vising us.

This time it was difficult to find topics. Actually we wanted to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall for one week. But how can you do that with 3 events? What should our guests and friends wear for an event if you say, its Berlin Wall Fall? How can you keep the tension for so long? And perhaps most people don't associate so much with this special day for Germany. But its a great step for the whole world, so we wanted celebrated it too for a week. Well, actually there are now even 4 events, because for many Berliners the American help after the 2nd World War still means a lot. And maybe without the deployment of the many American soldiers in Germany, the airlift that my adopted country Berlin was supplied with and many other moments the later peaceful revolution would not have been possible. And self people in East germany make it with this peaceful revolution, they listened the words of Kennedy and Reagan very attentive. That is why Veteran Day also belongs in this series.

Back to the roots.  We wanted make a break after the long halloween season and went back to our old and big barn after the wonderful summer with a lot events at the beach and the halloween season. We celebrated our first "Harvest Festival" the day before and went now in the barn self. This was our first "Country Night" in this fall which we celebrated like usual in our wonderful Trails End Music Hall Club.

Its should be an easy event today. It's not Thanksgiving yet, but we wanted to welcome the fall time and say "thank you" as in many places of the world for last summer and hopefully a rich harvest. Therefore we celebrated today our "Harvest Festival". We prepared the meadow in front of Trails End Music Hall for this, our Camp Sunshine.

After some long and tiring conversations today I would like to make one thing very clear again.

The Sunshine Realm is private land rented and managed by Misty and me. Here we regularly organize events and have it open to the public. But that doesn't change the fact that every visitor is our guest. On 4 levels there are currently 12 different venues. We are happy about every visitor. Nevertheless we have the house right and reserve ourselves expressly to expel each person also of the place and with repeated offences, carelessness or a fraud suspicion to ban this person permanently or limitedly. And it is also our decision if we appoint managers and grant them appropriate rights. We have the Sunshine Girls, who as hostesses take care of the guests and animate them, and appear as role models at the events. We expect the Sunshine Girls to be polite, welcome the guests and use the local chat. We also expect every guest to treat our Sunshine Girls and guests politely and respectfully.

Now it is already for some months in such a way that I write a backbick on the past month. That's what I want to do today. And, I wrote last month that the time flies so fast. And now its again time to write a monthly review. We have finish the golden month fall month october and the halloween season and slowly the winter come closer. Its finally time to take a warm blanket and candles and seek a seat close to a comfy fireplace. The nights are longer as the days and the next month will be a dark month at the northern hemisphere. Maybe a little more time to spend time in Secondlife. But before we start in the new month a last view back at the month which bygone.

This event was the final of our Halloween Season 2019. We wanted at first go back to the ground where the otherworld should opened complete and the rift should stabled there. But the rift as a new cemetery appeared not in the street. Instead the world parting and the rift consolidated in the swamp aside of the Realm of Shades. All kinds of beings and undead were here now and danced at the Churchyard in front of the Church Ruin for 2.5 hours.

Like every year, Halloween is an important time of the year. We love this special time. And since last Tuesday we are all again "Children of the Night" in the Sunshine Realm. This makes it the longest Halloween event period we've ever had. It's an eerie time when we can all slip into different costumes. And we've thought about different themes that we'll be doing in different places all over our Sunshine Realm.

Tonight was another one of those nights where you can only say, "Wow." It is always possible to experience this very special evening in SecondLife. And whether it is the unique and wonderful group of friends and guests who follow the theme, the choice of the theme that not only appeals to the former but spurs it on to be creative, or the preparation of the venue where it all takes place. I think it all has to come together. We have with the temple on our Mount Olymp in the Sunshine Realm a really unique place. And we have the Sunshine Family, our friends, who not only visit our event, but also take up a challenge every week and contribute to our success with breathtaking costumes. So maybe it was just luck that we wanted to have a formal ball in October too, and that we chose this theme and location. Anyway, today was such a special moment again, and I hope many people could feel it. I can only say "Thank you" to all who helped to make this evening so special.

Today we celebrated our Horror Movie Festival in Sunshine Realm. Maybe it's the scariest and bloodiest event of the year. Maybe a bad omen? Scared? Well, than were our friends and guests in the right mood for this event. Because we tried it again today with our "Festival of Fright". The scary fun begans, and we hoped that many people would join us?

Now we celebrate already some days Halloween and have collected thereby also each quantity of sweets. Dressed up as ghosts, witches and gnomes we went through the streets and called out "Trick & Treat" again and again. There were also lots of sweets. Who doesn't know that. And of course we ate most of them and gained weight. So now it was time for a workout together. And we have the right venue and wanted to invite our friends and guests to a workout in our Sunshine Gym. Work Off that Candy was our 7th Halloween event. We asked oour guests and friends to join us in workout clothes that somehow fit to Halloween. Maybe Blood or scary faces, or only halloween patters and colors. It should be a combination of spooky and sporty. we wanted host an unique spooky sporty Halloween event.

In SecondLife there are always changes. A day in SL is 4 hours long (3 hours day + 1 hour night in the Mainland). Thus SecondLife runs 6 times faster than in the normal world. So it seems to give also changes faster, you loses people from your eyes and wins new friends. And a club holds on the average probably only one three-quarter year. Well, we exist now already nearly 2 years, in December 2017 we opened and are still briefly before Christmas 2017 moved to the present position in the region Deep Lust. But we also reinvent ourselves every week, create new venues and new themes for parties and keep the thrill high. But that's not what it's about today, it's not about the Sunshine Realm. And don't worry, we don't want to change at the moment. But in almost the whole time we had a wonderful neighbour here in the region with Chant Lyrics. She has done many wonderful projects on her land, and even though she had rented less and more land in the region, she was always there.

We were able to build our land on both sides without border walls, adapted our border areas and there was never a reason to build a wall. Unfortunately you see these ugly separations again and again, and even if it is forbidden in the Covenant, only rarely something is done. Sometimes I had the impression that we had voted. Chant builds in her Sim with great attention to detail and wonderful ideas. Many also somehow unique. And we were able to talk about problems and exchange ideas.

Today Odette and Phil celebrated the grand opening of their new winterland "Mt. Conners Station Winterland" and invited all their friends to an wonderful party. Also was it the "Twin Birthday". Well, who looks at the years ;). Polpeta and Phil both have a birthday on this day, so the opening was also a birthday party. And since it was also a birthday party, we were not invited to come with jacket and boots, but in formal dresses and suit. We were all curious. Even though Mondays are actually an event in the Sunshine Family, most of them accepted the invitation.

This Saturday night October 19th invited we our guests and friends for our Blues, Boos and Brews event. This was Sunshine Realm's 6th event in our October Halloween themed extravaganza. This event featured Blues music, Ghostly Halloween costumes and lots of beer and wildness. The idea behind this event was a rocking college party - Halloween style. So we asked our guests to put on a costume, grab a beer and join us at our "Blues, Boos and Brews party for some rocking blues music and great fun. The term "Boos" clearly referenced ghosts so the costumes should be scary and spirited. We looked forwarded to a lot guests who came to spending a fun and exciting evening with the Sunshine Realm gang!

The month of October is special in Secondlife due to the Halloween season. Secondlife is a fantasy world and dressing up your avatar doll is only limited to your imagination. There are so many possible characters and costumes. During the month of October Sunshine Realm is holding 10 Halloween themed events to stretch our friends and guests imagination and creativity. In order to keep each event fresh and exciting; each event has a twist. This Friday, October 18th the twist was that the Halloween party is at the beach. "Ghouls Night at the Beach". Halloween and beach, which direction it should went?  Hmmmmmmmm, let thiink about this:  Sexy witches in Bikinis, Zombie Pirates, Creatures from the Sea, Ghostly lifeguards? This was the challenge for our friends and guests tonight. they had to decide and show us again them Halloween creativity to join us at our Caribbean Beach themed Halloween event "Ghouls Night At the Beach!" 

My absolute favorite was really the Zombie Pirates and in my Imagination appears the haunted Pirates of Caribbean. Maybe some make it. I prepared a pirates costume at first too but decided short before the event to go as sexy witch in a wicca bikini. It wasn't easy to find a matching pair of bra and panties, only the bloody body was easy to make.

It's time again, the undead come to the Sunshine Realm. Again we didn't manage to prevent the apocalypse. Also this year the undead will be walking around in the Sunshine Realm. Sorry, we didn't pay enough attention, they are appeared yesterday at the cemetery at the Realm of Shades and found their way to the gates. The festival place has been transformed into a ghostly swamp again. It's been a very good hiding place. And between the moor witches the undead are now on their way. 

They try now to reach the new festival place in front of the new Haunted Mansion, where the living have barricaded themselves. We just managed to close off the festival place with a rusty fence, but we don't know if it will last long. So we send a distress call to all survivors of the apocalypse to come to us and help send the zombies back to Otherworld this evening. And who knows if a haunted mansion is the best place to entrench?

I am often asked how and where I learned to emote. And what is important and what everyone should pay attention to. And if I couldn't write some kind of cookbook or rulebook for emotes. Friends sometimes have fun and say that they collect my emotes in a notecard to sell them in the marketplace. I don't even think I'm that good at emoting. I jumped about my shadow only and write what I think and what I'ld do in the real life. And also for me it is a problem to find the right words in a foreign language to describe feelings. But you can learn every day. And I dreamt after some years SecondLife the first time in English. 

In this blogpost I don't want to write about writing Emotes as a dancer in a club or as an escort. It's like real life, it's a service, and it's not really about equality. Nevertheless you can learn to writes emotes in good clubs. And of course everything written here also applies to clubs. Only the guests can sit back and let themselves be pampered and you are the entertainer. Because nobody comes to see pixel dancing, you are the reason.

We went to our Burlesque Palace tonight. First we just wanted to make another formal Halloween ball. But that was too easy or too general for us, and we can't walk around with bloody clothes for a month. Halloween is the time when we can slip into costumes and be someone else. Costumes & Cocktails. A cocktail is usually a high-proof alcohol mixed drink. So different ingredients are mixed, which then combine to something new. And exactly this is what we wanted for this night.
